Paeroa 2012 F3 Race 1 SV650 Jason McCamish onboard

This is race one from Paeroa in F3 2012. I'm riding a fuel injected Suzuki SV650. Modifications are a full Yoshimura Exhaust system. An Ohlins rear shock and spring. Revalved and resprung front forks. Aside from that it's standard in accordance with Production Twin rules for the National events. The majority of the other bikes in my race are Formula 3 spec which means very few limits on modifications. Spoiler alert: I came fifth in this race out of about 25 bikes scoring me a whopping $175 prize money which is pretty good for motorbike racing in NZ. Craig from Cycletreads crashed his Kawasaki zxr400 in this race. Thanks to all who've helped me over the years. Terry McCamish (McCamish Electrical) Cherry McCamish (Mum) Peter Carbines (Carbines Engineering) Todd Ventura (Pit bitch) Paul "3 fingers" Williams (my engineer) Bridgette Rademakers (a lady) Richard Corsa (Corsa MC Dismantlers) Keith and Ken (Victoria Motorcycle Wreckers) Bob Smith and Andy Wilgermein (ThermoTech) Kerry Dukic (Dukic Motorsport)

SV650 - WMRRA Taste of Racing with 2Fast at The Ridge 07-14-13
2Fast/WMRRA's Taste of Racing at The Ridge Motorsports Park, Shelton, WA . This is the second time I've done ToR on my SV650 at The Ridge, but the previous time was over a year ago. My lines weren't as all-over-the-place this time, but my shifting was pretty much terrible. An actual track day or several would be highly beneficial, I'm sure. Taste of Racing provided by 2Fast Motorcycle Track Days & Instruction. Details at WMRRA's site: http://www.wmrra.com/tor.html Video shot using a Drift HD170 on a RAM stem mount with a RAM 3" composite arm.

SV650 Rear Speedometer Drive - Quick and Dirty
Quick and Dirty video of how I relocated my speedometer sensor to the rear wheel on my 1st generation '01 SV650. This SV650 is a first generation model, that is important because the second generation uses a different speedometer sender unit. Breif summary: The SV650 speedometer drives doesn't fit onto the GSXR front end swap that I performed in an earlier video because the GSXR axle is too big for it, additionally there is no space to mount it. There are other options available such as mounting magnets and a hall-effect sensor on the GSXR front end, but I wanted to take a different approach and use the parts I already had rather than building something new. The rear axle on the SV650 is the same size as the former front axle so moving the speedometer drive to the rear was relatively easy. The speedo drive replaces the right side wheel spacer, but because the speedo drive is larger the brake caliper had to be machined down about 5mm to compensate. Also the speedo drive rotor has no way of being driven by the rear wheel, there is no provisions for it. Using some cheap JB Weld or some eposxy you can fabricate an appropriate drive unit using the rotor itself as a mold/template. Watch the video for more information!
