The 2013 Ford Edge sport is an attractive car. It boasts 22 inch
rims, split Exhaust and a mean looking
rear diffuser. The Edge seems to borrow styling cues from high end
performance cars, and it works really well. Inside lays a well appointed
leather interior and a slew of advanced technological features. If you are
searching for a good looking, roomy and fun crossover, this could be the
car for you. All wheel drive, 305hp and an aggressive appearance for $30
grand. Not much to hate about that.
We at Vehicle-Virgins™ are a dedicated group of college students here to
help you make one of the most important decisions of your life: buying your
first car. What sets us apart from other consumer review organizations is
our perspective of review; we approach the cars as any kid would, not only
as a professional automotive journalist would. We take into account
real-world decision factors such as budget, reliability, safety, and
maintenance, but we also rate cars on their appeal to a younger market. At
19 and 20 years old, we have spent lots of time looking for our first cars,
and we know what appeals to us as well as our friends.
Our mission is to guide individuals in the right direction for their first
car. Vehicle-Virgins reviews popular cars that young buyers are in the
market for and helps them decide if the car they are looking at is a good
We are lighthearted individuals who are passionate about cars and hope you
find our reviews both informative and funny.

2016 Kia Sorento vs. Its Competition
In developing this generation of the Kia Sorento, the Korean automaker
targeted German luxury crossovers, as well as the Jeep Grand Cherokee, for
its road manners (if not all of the Jeep’s off-road abilities), and for
their refinement and feel of solidity.
And it shows; they were successful in emulating them, and in giving the
Sorento a much more mature, refined ride and interior.
The Highlander feels busier and less refined from inside, as well as
somewhat less responsive, and its odd truck-like layout (even though it’s
a more carlike crossover) can be off-putting.
On the other hand, the Ford Edge is an excellent five-seat crossover, and
this year’s redesign looks poised to bring this model even more of a
performance and technology emphasis.
The Honda Pilot is a boxy design counterpoint to the Sorento, and while its
upright body makes sense for packaging it’s not nearly as refined or
pleasant riding as the Kia.
And finally, among non-luxury brands, the Nissan Murano is an almost polar
opposite of the Sorento, and an interesting contrast.
While the Sorento might be good for families, the Murano caters to adults,
with bigger, better contoured second-row seats and more of an emphasis on
comfort as much for those in back as for the driver.
The one other rival that can’t be omitted is the Hyundai Santa Fe, a
model that’s a close cousin, sharing much of the Sorento’s
