Part 1 of 4 - The 2011 Toyota Camry LE
Hi guys. Richard Nail with Mike Erdman Toyota, here today to show you the 2011 Toyota Camry LE.
Gonna pop the hood and take a look under the front. In the 2011 Camry LE, the first thing you're going to notice is dual hydraulics on the hood in the shock arms. So, if one goes out, you have two. This is a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine that features Dual Overhead Cams with Dual VVT-I. The VVT-I stands for Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence, and what that means to you is that it helps maximize your fuel efficiency and your power.
The Toyota Camry, as does most Toyotas, has double-thick seals all the way around the engine compartment. And if you take a look under here, you're going to see some little bump wells right there. That's called crumple-zone technology, so if you're hit in a frontal impact, the car's designed to fold up like an accordion instead of pushing everything back into the driver's compartment. That is a safety feature for you. The 2011 Camry is a 5-star crash rated vehicle in the front and side-impact ratings.
Let's take a look in the cabin.
As you'll notice, a nice wide entrance for ease of ingress and egress. That's what they call getting into and out of the cars. This is a Camry that features a dark woodgrain trim on the door. This has four power windows that are one-touch on auto up and down on all four windows. Window locks, power door locks, powered mirrors, and cruise control. On the steering wheel, it features a tilt and telescope function where the wheel goes in and out and up and down. The LE features standard audio controls in the wheel so you can adjust your volume up and adjust it down, and it also features 6 presets in the FM 1, the FM 2, and satellite radio. You can switch your mode from AM to FM to the satellite as well. As you'll notice here in the front dashboard, you also have a nice cup holder.

Taking a look at the other interior features inside the Camry. As you come
to the center dashboard, once again you see the dark wood grain trim. You
have nice, big, ergonomically designed controls, and that's so you don't
have to take your eyes off of the road. You can reach down. They're easy to
find. You have your fan control, you have your thermostat control in the
center, and then you have your source control for the air conditioner.
With the radio, as it lights up, it's not distracting to the eye for the
night time driving. It also features 6 presets, where you can save your
favorite radio stations in there as well.
In the center console, you're going to notice two cup holders underneath
that wood grain fold-over, a storage console in the center as well, and a
gated shifter. The gated shifter helps to keep you into reverse, into
neutral, or into your drive gear. That "S" is for sequential shift. This is
the only 4-cylinder mid-sized that features a 6-speed transmission, and
that helps maximize your fuel efficiency. As you'll notice in the dash
display, it lights up nicely. And once again, driver's side airbag in the
front seat, passenger-side airbag, side-curtain airbags that deploy along
all of the windshields, and it also features side-seat airbags that deploy
out of the front driver's seat and passenger seat for your safety. The
Camry also, as a mid-sized sedan, features a driver's knee-side airbag.
There aren't many other manufacturers of automobiles on the road in the
United States that feature knee-side airbag in their mid-sized sedan. That
deploys right here underneath the wheel.
Let's take a look in the back.

Part 4 of 4 - The 2011 Toyota Camry LE
Okay, guys, taking a look at the trunk in the 2011 Toyota Camry LE, the
first thing you're going to notice is when the trunk lid opens up, it opens
up past the 180 degrees. It's engineered and designed to be that way so
that when you're loading your cargo into and out of the trunk, you don't
bump your head like you do on a lot of our competitor's models.
Also, you're going to notice the ease of releasing the rear seats. They are
located right there. You don't have to bend over to get inside and pull
down a little latch to release it. These are 60/40 split rear seats. That
means that you can lay down both in the back; 60% of the seats on one side
and 40%'s on the other.
Now, underneath the cargo mat in the back, you have your spare tire located
underneath there with the jack and all of the equipment. If you can get a
shot of this over here on the left side, I call that the egg saver. When
you pick up your groceries, you can put your eggs, your milk, your drinks
right in there so they don't roll around and squoosh the rest of your

at this, color-keyed rear lip spoiler, and around the side of the vehicle,
you also have ground effects, chrome Exhaust tips on the bottom, and a sport package
that gives it a nice sporty look. When you come around and take a look at
the wheels, those are BBS rim. And even on the front of the vehicle, in the
Camry's fit and finish, you have a nice designed chrome finish all the way
around the front grill. Ground effects in the front with quad lamps as
As you'll notice, this model has a red bow on top of it. You should pick
one up for Father's Day, a graduation gift. Come see us. Visit us on the

Part 3 of 4 - The 2011 Toyota Camry LE
As we take a look inside the 2011 Toyota Camry LE in the rear seat, first
thing you'll notice is the nice leather interior throughout the car. In the
center console, it has a folding armrest that folds down, with two cup
holders there as well. In all Toyota makes and models, one thing you'll
notice that you won't see in our competitors' sedans, if you'll come down
to the floor, is the nearly-flat floor in the rear. This is a 5-passenger
sedan, so if you ever have a passenger who gets in the center, they won't
have their feet raised up this high. And that is a big difference for
passenger comfort in the rear of the vehicle.
As you can see, in a reclined position, you have plenty of shoulder room,
leg room, hip room -- spacious throughout. Also, for the safety of your
passengers in the rear of the vehicle, side-curtain airbags that deploy
along the side walls. Inside of the doors are reinforced tubular steel
beams to keep the car from tin-canning in on you in the event of a side
This is a 5-star crash rated vehicle in the side, government crash-test
ratings. So, let's take a look in the truck now.

Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (TOYOTA)
VVT-i, or Variable Valve Timing with intelligence, is an automobile
variable valve timing technology developed by Toyota, similar in
performance to the BMW's VANOS. The Toyota VVT-i system replaces the Toyota
VVT offered starting in 1991 on the 5-valve per cylinder 4A-GE engine. The
VVT system is a 2-stage hydraulically controlled cam phasing system.
VVT-i, introduced in 1996, varies the timing of the intake valves by
adjusting the relationship between the camshaft drive (belt, scissor-gear
or chain) and intake camshaft. Engine oil pressure is applied to an
actuator to adjust the camshaft position.
