November 5, 2011 -- Earl Cornwell Jr., Auctioneer and Owner of Earl's Auction Company in Indianapolis, Indiana, presides over the sale at auction of the Hughbanks Estate, Plainfield, IN.
The centerpieces of the sale included a number of antique and collectable automobiles... including a 'nearly original' 1968 Shelby Cobra with just over 9,100 actual miles.
Watch as the bidding quickly jumps to over six figures, finally to close at a World Record Price of $253,000.
In the end, the vehicle is loaded and delivered, with Police escort, to the new owners location. Let's hope that one day this beauty will be shared for the enjoyment of all antique auto / muscle car enthusiasts.
1970 Mach1 Mustang restoration almost sent to the crusher
my 1970 mach 1 Mustang built June 10 1970. totaled out in the mid 80's parted out and abandond in a junk yard. almost sent to the crusher in 2007 but i saved it just in time and restored it. If i can restore this one dont any one try to tell me that there Mustang cant be restored
1967 Mustang Junior body, bumpers and other restoration parts

Since the powercar Company of Mystic Ct went out of business in 1967 they never made any 1968 Mustang juniors. the side vents on the mold can be filled with clay before the fiberglass is laid up to make a 1968 body.
