Hpno & Jaz Adventures! Changing the upper torque strut on a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT
This is my first auto repair video. I'm not a professional videographer nor a mechanic. Under no circumstance am I saying I am a professional. We usually do things ourselves to save money and because we know how to do them, but when we don't we do see a professional mechanic. This video does not replace in any way the advice of a professional mechanic. If you only replace one strut or motor mount, you might experience more engine shaking, so please replace all of them around the same time, if it's too expensive do one by one but make sure they are replaced around the same time. I purchased this motor mount from Advanced Auto Parts and it cost me $37.99 plus tax so around 41 bucks. I know at Auto Zone is the same price at least in my area and you can find them at ebay or another store for cheaper. If you are going to get it replaced by a professional, to save money ask them if they can charge you for only labor and you buy the parts, I have a mechanic that will charge me for the parts (cost price) as well so it actually comes out cheaper for him to buy the part than for me to buy the part, do what you must to save money but at the same time you get what you pay for, not always its better to get the cheapest part.

Dodge Neon Control Arm Bushing Replacement
I replaced the bushings for the control arms in my 2nd generation Dodge Neon. It's not as thorough as most of my videos because of the extreme temps during filming, but it should get you through it for sure. Note that this process is virtually identical for the 1st and 2nd gen cars. This one was a 2005. The 1st gen cars don't have the dimple in the floor for cutting, and I'm not sure if the torque specs are the same so double check that. Also be sure to follow the directions from the bushing manufacturer as they are different between brands.

2000 Dodge Neon Head and Timing Belt - Part 2
This video includes the clips from part one butinlcudes the SOUND and a SLIDE SHOW from the project. Inspection - This is our brother Gregg's Car neon. The water pump seized and blew the timing belt. We decided to take it all the way down to the head because there was some question that a valve had bent as well. But other than a TON of carbon, it turned out to be OK. more at http://www.reinsmith.net

How To Find A Vacuum Leak - EricTheCarGuy
Vacuum leaks are one of the biggest causes of engine performance problems. This video is pretty straight forward in it's approach to finding a vacuum leak. On thing I might mention is that not all vacuum leaks are at the engine. Some HVAC systems run on engine vacuum and can cause a leak under the dash in some cases. I've even seen vacuum operated door locks. Just be sure to be careful spraying flammable stuff on a hot engine, you don't want to take one problem and make it a whole lot worse. You can also use a spray bottle with water to do this same test. It may not be as effective, but you don't have to worry about spraying a flammable substance on a hot engine. How To Replace a Serpentine Belt - EricTheCarGuy
Replacing a Serpentine Belt - EricTheCarGuy I've had more than one request for this, the other day I had one come in and was happy to make the video for it. This is a fairly easy one compared to some that I have had to deal with, just work smart and have the right tools and you will be fine. Remember the longer the tool the better the leverage and that you should check to make sure you have the correct belt before you try and install it. --- Click below and Stay Dirty Visit me at EricTheCarGuy.com http://ericthecarguy.com/ Visit EricTheCarGuy Forum http://www.ericthecarguy.com/forum/default.aspx Visit my Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/EricTheCarGuy --- Stay dirty Due to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, it cannot guarantee against unauthorized modifications of this information, or improper use of this information.  EricTheCarGuy assumes no liability for property damage or injury incurred as a result of any of the information contained in this video. EricTheCarGuy recommends safe practices when working with power tools, automotive lifts, lifting tools, jack stands, electrical equipment, blunt instruments, chemicals, lubricants, or any other tools or equipment seen or implied in this video.  Due to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, no information contained in this video shall create any express or implied warranty or guarantee of any particular result.  Any injury, damage or loss that may result from improper use of these tools, equipment, or the information contained in this video is the sole responsibility of the user and not EricTheCarGuy.  ETCG
