We took out the Mazda 6 a little earlier then we had planned today, to get some extra testing in before Jamboree Sydney. We were testing all new spring setup and some rear changes which resulted in the pb 6.71 @ 205mph. We then ran a 7.05 but ran into an issue that we'll have to look more into. This was done with the same steel motor as the 6.8 pass which was left in the car, which we are quite happy about.
2013 Mazda3 vs Jeep Wrangler Snowstorm Winter Tire Mashup Test
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2013 Mazda3 and the new Jeep Wrangler don't have a lot on common. In fact they are about as different as two cars can be. The Jeep Wrangler is an old school body on frame off-road behemoth while the Mazda3 is a perky small run about. So which one of these is better in the snow? We decided to find out in another fun and interesting TFLcar mashup test. To make it a fair contest we of course got a set of dedicated snow tires for the front-wheel-drive Mazda but kept the stock set of all season tires on the 4X4 Jeep. To make it even more fair we kept the jeep Wrangler in two-wheel-drive and headed to Lick Skillet Road (America's steepest country Road) in a snowstorm. So which of these two cars conquered the Colorado Mountain road? You'll have to watch this video to find out.
GOLDY 1000 LETS LOOSE @ POWERPLAY 2013
On the weekend just past the Mazfix crew attended Powercruise Powerplay event at Queensland Raceway for the first time. Archie and Johnno got to steer a few passengers around in the bridgeport turbo 1000 ute. As usual we were camera'd up and here's the footage, plenty of cars in action all onboard the Mazda 1000.
MAZFIX PB 206 mph [6.93 @ 206 mph]
We took the Mazda 6 out again to the Super Sportsman event at Willowbank Raceway today. The black beast ran a first qualifier of 6.93 @ 206 mph with a slower 1.11 60ft. We then made adjustments for the 2nd pass but unfortunately while waiting in the staging lanes the rain started to settle in and would not go away for the organisers to cancel for the weekend. We hope to be back out asap and get in some more testing for the Sydney Jamboree this year.
2014 Mazda6 vs Infiniti M35 Hybrid Technology Mashup Review

Americans sure love their Honda Accords and Toyota Camrys, and Mazda's competing midsize family sedan hasn't been successful in wooing shoppers away from those segment leaders. But Cars.com reviewer Mike Hanley says the 2014 Mazda6's fuel economy — now rated at 26/38 mpg city/highway — may be just the edge it needs to steal some hearts. Hanley says improved efficiency, however, doesn't mean mitigated acceleration or transmission responsiveness. Improved exterior styling, interior materials, cabin comfort and cargo space engender a luxurious feel, but a dinky navigation system undermines that somewhat.
7.08 @ 192mph MAZFIX 20B MAZDA BT50 BLOWS THE DOOR OFF
The car ran it's personal best time in the new paint scheme at Jamboree, on this pass the door skin was torn off, which was repaird at the track to continue racing (full screen the video in best quality to see the door come off at the end of the track). The car looks fantastic now and great results over the weekend should see it crack that 6 second pass very soon. 2014 Mazda6 Drive and Review
