A day at the track with David McNiel of EMS Racing and the new Dodge Viper ACR-X.... This was taken at MotorSports Ranch Cresson TX February 2010. Dodge brought out the ACR-X for testing and display at the Viper Day's event... I had an opportunity to run with the car in one of the sessions.
Dodge Viper ACR racing at Daytona International Speedway with PBOC and Viper Days
Here is a 10 min video of Chad McNiel and David McNiel trip to Daytona - First are random pictures of the cars and track and then on to racing.... Chad Raced his SRT-4 Neon in the Challenge group of Viper Days and PBOC Florida Chapter and hit speeds in the 140's.... Me, well I in the race group and was toping out around 170 on the main straight...The track was fairly challenging and was very fast. A ton of walls and things to hit if you went off - During the 2-hour endurance race on Saturday 4 cars had blowouts - 2 of which hit the wall and had a lot of damage.... I think they learned a lot about proper tire pressures that day. Lots of cars from raced from BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, corvette and Comp Coupe Viper and yes the Dodge Viper ACR; Kevin Ferguson and Brad Gorrondana from the Dallas area with their ACRs were with us too.
Hennesey Viper ACR with 820 BHP!! Lovely Sound!!
CvdZijden spotted this awesome Hennesey Viper ACR at the Nordschleife last time! This car have 820 BHP without turbo's, when Hennesey put two turbo's on it, the car has 1000+ BHP!! Laptime of this car around the Nordschleife Track is 7:22!

Viper ACR Nurburgring
The VCA was very proud to play a small role in the recent record setting effort of the SRT team at Nürburgring. The Viper ACR ran a blistering 7:22.1 around The Ring, beating the next closest rival by over four full seconds - a lifetime in racing. Congrats to SRT and the entire Viper Nation!

The Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR (American Club Racer) has made history at yet another storied road course.
Renowned Dodge road racer Kuno Wittmer piloted a street legal 2010 Dodge Viper ACR to a record lap of 1:59.995 at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, on Monday, April 11, breaking the 2-minute mark for the first time in a production car on the 3.048-mile Outer Course configuration. The Viper ACR shattered the previous production car lap record of 2:03.86, held by Jan Magnussen in a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 by close to 4 full seconds.

The Dodge Viper ACR remains the ultimate purpose-built, street-legal track car since its introduction in 2008.
Powered by the venerable 8.4-liter, V-10 engine with 600 horsepower and 560 lb.-ft. of torque, the Dodge Viper ACR continues to offer extreme performance, including 0-60 mph acceleration in less than 4 seconds, quarter-mile time in the mid 11-second range and 0-100-0 mph in 11 seconds flat.
The four-wheel independent suspension features high-performance aluminum control arms and knuckles, KW suspension with two-way adjustable competition coil-over shock absorbers with remote reservoirs.
The aerodynamic package features a carbon fiber "fanged" splitter in front and adjustable carbon-fiber wing with seven-position stanchions that allow up to an amazing 1,000 lbs. of downforce at 150 mph. Lightweight wheels, two-piece slotted StopTech brake rotors and Michelin PS Cup tires round out the ACR package.
For the 2010 model year, the Dodge Viper ACR received a shorter fifth gear ratio (changing from 0.74 to 0.80) for improved high-speed acceleration and higher straightaway speeds. A new short-throw shifter also came in 2010 models for enhanced driver experience and better performance. The rear wing profile and end plates were also redesigned to further optimize the vehicle aerodynamics and improve rear yaw downforce. These changes resulted in an increase in top speed of 4 mph (to 184 mph).

Ride Along: A.R.T. Dodge Viper ACR on the Track at Harris Hill Road
American Racing Technology invited Autovoce to the annual Texas Viper Roundup where I took a ride on the track in their tuned 2008 Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR. This car is a monster and I had an incredible time whipping around on the asphalt. In the video we pass a Nissan 350Z and an Aston Martin Vanquish S. Later we play tag with another Viper ACR.

NASA TX & Texas World Speedway - Dodge Viper 'Rogue ACR-X' - April 25th, 2010
This is Race 3. Race 1 and 2 were not so good for me. Race 1 I was rear ended. Race 2 they called us to grid in 5 minutes and yet the race had already left. Go figure. So, before I went home, I just wanted to get in a decent race. I started out 11th because of the Race 2 fiasco. I managed to get to 3rd which wasn't so bad considering it was a 7 lap race. 7 laps? Whatever. Here's the video. Enjoy!
