My 1993 Mercury Cougar
This is my 1993 Mercury Cougar XR7 Special edition. It currently has about 68,900 miles on it. It has the 3.8 liter V6 which is alright even though I wish it had the 5.0. This car drives like no other it rides great as well. So far I have put on new brakes, rebuilt the valve body in the transmission, changed the oil and cleaned it. I will buff and wax it later as well as change the anti-freeze, put on touchup paint, and fix the little bit of rust on the drivers side rocker panel. It has a Kenwood headunit with an MP3 hookup as well as my Harbor Freight airhorn.
92 5.0 HO cougar 0-60
1992 5.0 HO 25th anniversary cougar 0-100 mph. This is a bone stock car.
The cougars from this era were known to have a restrictive Exhaust system as well as a power-leeching smog pump. I plan on putting a full cat-back Exhaust on it.
1991 Cougar 5.0 first start in 2 months
I thought i might as well post a video of my car on here, its a 1991 Mercury Cougar LS with a 5.0L V8 engine. It has been sitting for 2 months because it isnt inspected and it needs to be fixed. It needs new tires, the transmission needs to be flushed, and the intake manifold leaks. Despite the fact that it looks like crap, its a pretty reliable car. Ill post a video of it on the road once i eventually fix it and get it inspected
note: in the beginning before i start it the temp. gauge isnt on cold because the gauges dont reset until the engine starts, if you look at 1:58 when i get back in the car the temp. gauge is on cold
Interesting Run-through of my '93 Cougar.
I washed the months (possibly years) of filth and debris that has befouled my car, and decided to make a much better video than the last one I made of it. The video pretty much speaks for itself. The one thing I never really explained in this video is why I never left the area I was in: This is because of the fact I've yet to get my license (haven't gone for the test yet, and Kentucky requires me to take a 4-hour class beforehand), and the car hasn't been insured yet. It'll be insured next week. I had seriously thought about taking it around the block after my father went to sleep, but he wouldn't fall asleep until nearly three in the morning.
E303 cam on stock 5.0 HO MN12
Replaced the cam in my 89 cougar with a FRP E303 cam. this video was taken 20 minutes after finishing the installation of the cam.
Engine is a 5.0 HO from a 91 T-Bird.
0 miles on cam and 10,000 miles on engine.
Spooky, 1992 Mercury Cougar
1992 Mercury Cougar. Took me one year to build. I had a Gold 1997 Cougar with a 4.6 V8 and a Silver 1992 Cougar with a 3.8 V6. I blew up the V6 and wrecked the V8 so I put them together, painted it black and named it "SPQQKY". Here's a video of the process. I DRIVE IT EVERYDAY!
sleeper burnout
This is a quick video of my cougar launching from a dead stop at idle on street tires. It was 17 degrees outside in case you are wondering about the Exhaust condensation.
