Awesome Minnesota Junkyard
This is a video of an awesome junkyard in central minnesota. Most of the images were taken in -18 below weather. It is always a great time even when you come home empty handed. The last two are of my project car in my garage. Enjoy! And many thanks to French Lake Auto Salvage!

Who is Older in This Junkyard - The Cars or The Trees? 1of 2
The car in the opening shot gives the appearance of having crashed into a tree - that was no doubt not present or perhaps a sapling at the time of their meeting. I plan to return here another time when the foliage retires for the Winter. These remote steel jewels still have some usable parts such as glass and trim. At least one late 20's car still even has some decent interior offerings. Time has a way of reducing all to the basic elements - as the creature is composed of in the despairingly despotic novel Seven Skins.
Abandoned cars in forgotten junkyard
These pictures were taken in May of 2010 in the Michigan woods. The junkyard is permanently closed and has posted no trespassing signs all over the place. I spoke to the person who owns the property and was given special permission to explore. This site covers 120 acres and is packed with cars from the 1930's on up. I only had an hour to look and it must be done on foot. Enjoy the pics, places like this just don't exist anymore. Truely a rare find. Thanks to my buddy Chris for the tip on this hot spot.
