Tom's Turbo Garage: Eagle Talon Turbo AWD - Twin Disc Clutch: Part 1
In this episode we begin our twin disc clutch install by pulling the
transmission out of the old DSM and assessing the damage inflicted on the
ACT 2600 clutch that we smoked in our last video.

ECMLink LinearWB SD Tuning Video.wmv
Since the AEM UEGO wideband units seem to log incorrectly in ECMLink you've
got to log LinearWB and set it up yourself. This video specifically shows
how its done on a Speed Density setup however, it's the same idea when
doing it on a MAF setup.
700HP+ 1992 EAGLE TALON TSI AWD WALKAROUND!
The current listing on Ebay for the car is here
1997 Eagle Talon TSI AWD 16G Turbo 23 PSI Driving on the highway
My friend and I going for a drive in his 1997 AWD Eagle Talon with a turbo. He's running about 23 lbs of Boost making around 350+ WHP. You can hear
the waste gate open as he gets into the Boost. This engine was completely rebuilt by
the privious owner. Rear seats have been removed, as well as some of the
carpeting. A strut brace is where the seats once were. This car also
features Sparco bucket seats but no race harness :(. Exterior, mostly stock
except for a carbon fiber hood and matte black painted factory wheels. This
was filmed in Pittsburgh, PA on a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition on 1080p
2013 GTR Alpha 9 - Dyno pulls.
Traction control was an issue the first couple pulls. Last pull was in the
600's with the final pull (Not on video) at 701 to the wheels.
Dyno is at Boostin Performance.
2116 Stonington Ave.
Open M-F 10am-7pm
*Closed for lunch 1:30-2:30pm
The owner was a bit frustrated as the car was said to be ~815 on 93 pump.
And just over 1000 on kill.
1g Talon Fuel Injector Clip Replacement
In this video, I replace my 1990 broken injector plugs with some 2g
injector clips. The process is pretty straight forward and does not take
On a 1990 there is no way to extract the wires from the clip (as seen in
the video), therefor you must cut and solder the connectors in. On a 91+
you can just extract the wire from the existing connector using a
screwdriver and replace with the new connector.
Note the fuel rail and injectors are removed (getting a -8an bung welded in
for the new feed:)). This process will be covered in a latter video.
Tom's Turbo Garage: Eagle Talon Test & Tune
Join me on Facebook! http://www.facebook.com/TomsturboGarage
In this episode, we take my 1991 Eagle Talon AWD turbo to Knoxville Dragstrip to do some shakedown
runs with the new turbo setup.
Knoxville Dragstrip is 890 feet above sea level. The air temperature
during these runs was 65 degrees and the Density Altitude was 1,814 feet
above sea level. For all three runs the Boost was set at 27 psi and a 50/50 mix of 93
octane pump gas and 110 octane race gas was used. The car's race weight
was approximately 3,390 pounds with driver.
The best time/MPH of the night was:
60 ft: 2.091
You can see a complete modification list and many more photos and details
Thanks for watching!

Tuning 101 - tuning with the car off
How to set idle stopper, TPS sensor, and throttle linkage. These are
conditions that need to be set properly prior to adjusting your idle, fuel,
timing or before addressing drivability issues. If these items are
out-of-range prior to changing other variables, changing them later will
throw off everything else. It's important to do these things first.
Boost leak testing is covered in
another video. It's critical to get Boost, vacuum, and Exhaust leaks under control before establishing
your baseline tune. Links to the Boost leak testing video are in this video.
1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T
Well I've decided to sell my long and never ending project. I've owned this
car since 98' and have garage kept it pretty much 98% of that time. This
car has never been in an accident and has a clean title. I'll even say this
is probably one of the nicest DSM's in the nation, definitely one of the
cleanest. I've taken time to do exactly what I wanted to the car. That
includes powder coating almost every piece under the hood (gloss black) or
polishing. Tons of attention to detail was used on this car. It will make a
great street/strip car as the only eliminations are A/C and cruise control.
Honestly I can't even remember everything that is done but the list below
is what I do remember.
1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T Silver Minden Pearl
52,028 miles on chassis
207 miles on motor (true 2.0 4G63T) using only Brad Penn oil
The car made 418.3 WHP and 293.2 tq at 20 psi on a Dyno Dynamics loaded Dyno also known as the "heart
break" Dyno. You can
add 20-25% to that number and get what a Dyno Jet would read. There is a
lot more in this car, and I was looking making 500+ on that same Dyno, but found out the single
walbro fuel pump wasn't enough. The car hasn't seen the track since 2001,
so this current setup has yet to be abused.
