1962 VW Ragtop Beetle Test Drive

The color on this Sunroof Bug is perhaps my favorite color ever offered on a classic Volkswagen: L380 Turquoise. Amazingly the turquoise on the interior of the car is original paint! The dash face, the inside of the doors, and the area above the windshield are in the same beautifully applied coat of paint sprayed at the factory way back in February of 1962.
The exterior paint is very nice. All of the glass was removed when the exterior of this bug was painted for a very thorough job. New window rubber, new door rubber, new fender beading and new turn signal rubber were all installed during reassembly. This was a thorough restoration and the end result is the great-looking sunroof Beetle.

1967 Volkswagen Beetle Sedan with only forty-nine thousand actual miles. And yes, the Florida title states that the miles are actual. This little darling has obviously been loved, well maintained and babied all through the years. The original engine, # H0632481 runs excellent, with no hesitation, coughing, or stalling. The transmission shifts as smooth as silk and does not pop out of any gear or make any abnormal noises. The 1967 model year included many improvements over the previous years including a 1500c.c. engine with increased horsepower and a 12 volt electrical system. Driving an antique Beetle has many rewards including great gas mileage and parts availability and they have proven to be good, sound financial investments as well. Lets not forget the smiles they bring, either. We don't know of too many people that don't have fond memories and a VW story to tell. Options on this one include pop-out rear quarter windows and working factory am/fm radio. A very rare option in 1967. Finding a stock, original Beetle can be quite a challenge as most have been altered, modified or worn out and kept on life support. This one has received only one repaint that shows very well. The interior is in overall very good to excellent condition as well. The floor pans are original to the car and are in great shape. Please understand that any forty-six year old car will have minor blemishes and imperfections. Example, the trunk mat is original but showing signs of deterioration. As nice as this car is, it is not a new car. It is, however, an original forty-nine thousand actual mile car.
Mexican Bettle year 2004
here is a example of a low km Mexican beetle that we removed the Immobilizer it is a 2004 model year and it is the ``Ultima Edicion `` there were 3000 of this model made but only 1500 of this color and 1499 available to paying customer one of the blue one is in a museum in Germany the problem with the car was that it wasn't used for a couple of years and needed a tune up but the main problem the customer did not get the immobilizer part that goes on the key chain from the previous owner so we had to remove the factory immo. and see if the Vag Com could read the Digifant ECU on this car and it did with the help of a home made adapter connector.

Here is a preview of how the car sits now, summer 2012. I have about 95% of the bodywork done and have coated everything with 2 layers of black epoxy primer. Lots more tune up has yielded a good running late model classic VW beetle. As you can see I have a bunch of work left to do on the interior, but all the gauges and lighting function. To beef everything up on the 3SGTE engine I had to utilize an aftermarket ECU, I chose the Vi-Pec. The last part of the video shows what this setup can do. She's fast...
