RRonTV: The new Chevrolet CAMARO SS Convertible
from Wikipedia: The Camaro received a complete redesign, and new platform for the 2010 model year/fifth generation. Based on the 2006 Camaro Concept and 2007 Camaro Convertible Concept, production of the fifth-generation Camaro was approved on 10 August 2006. The Oshawa Car Assembly plant in the city of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada began producing the new Camaro which went on sale in spring of 2009 as a 2010 model year vehicle. Following the development of the Zeta architecture and because of its position as the GM global center of RWD development, GM Holden in Australia led the final design, engineering, and development of the Camaro. Production of the coupé began on March 16, 2009, in LS, LT, and SS trim levels. LS and LT models are powered by a 3.6 L (220 cu in) V6 producing 312 hp for the 2010 & 2011 model mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic with manual shift. The SS is powered by the 6.2 L (376 cu in) LS3 V8 producing 426 hp (318 kW) and is paired with a 6-speed manual. The automatic SS gets the L99 V8 with 400 hp (300 kW). The RS appearance package is available on both the LT and SS and features 20-inch wheels with a darker gray tone, halo rings around xenon headlamps, a unique spoiler, and red RS or SS badges. On April 1, 2010, the Camaro was named the World Car Design of the Year at the World Car of the Year Awards. In late January 2011, the production of 2011 Camaro Convertibles started. The first going to Rick Hendrick via Barret-Jackson Car Auction. Convertibles had the same options as the coupé (engines, RS, SS, etc.). The Camaro Convertible features an aluminium brace over the engine assembly, and under the transmission. Due to the 2011 Fukushima earthquake, certain pigment colors were not available to make certain colors for both the coupé and convertible. On November 2011, the export version (excluding Japanese version) of the Camaro was introduced after a two-year delay. The delay was due to the unexpected high demand and strained production capacity. The export version included different tail lamps with integrated reverse and amber turn signal lamps, larger external rear view mirrors with integrated side turn signal repeaters, "cleaner" rear bumper appearance (without reverse light inserts), and other changes as to comply with ECE regulations. The 2012 model year marked the 45th anniversary of the Camaro and commemorated with a model available only in "Carbon Flash" paint. The V6 was updated to a 3.6 L "LFX" engine producing 323 hp (241 kW). The SS model received an upgrade to the suspension system. All models received the RS spoiler and taillight details, wheel-mounted volume and radio controls, and Bluetooth connectivity controls as standard. The 2012 ZL1 Camaro included a 6.2 L LSA supercharged V8 producing 580 hp (430 kW). The LSA motor is the same used in the Cadillac CTS-V and makes it the fastest production Camaro ever produced. Other features included 2-stage Exhaust, the addition of suede seats, steering wheel, and shift knob, as well as ZL1-exclusive 20" aluminum wheels. In 2012 Chevrolet unveiled the production of the 2013 Camaro ZL1 Convertible. On December 19, 2012 GM announced the production of the Camaro would be shifted to a plant in Michigan, citing "lower capital investment and improved production efficiencies were key factors" in the move. This move is expected to start in late 2015 or early 2016. Top Gear Camaro

Camaro ZL1 Delivers 580 Horsepower and Exclusive Technologies
The 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1's supercharged 6.2L engine is SAE-rated at 580 horsepower (432 kW) and 556 lb.-ft. of torque (754 Nm) -- making it the most-powerful production Camaro ever. The ZL1's outstanding power is complemented by advanced powertrain and chassis technologies, including exclusive Performance Traction Management and third-generation Magnetic Ride Control. "The Camaro ZL1 delivers supercar performance and technology in the sports-car segment," said Al Oppenheiser, Camaro chief engineer. "For sheer power, the ZL1 delivers more horsepower than a Ferrari 458, more torque than an Aston Martin DB9 V12, and a better power-to-weight ratio than a Porsche 911 Carrera GTS. "The Camaro ZL1 also features exclusive chassis and traction technologies," Oppenheiser said, "to offer the best of all worlds -- including balanced handling for the track, acceleration for a drag strip, and the comfort of a daily driver." The most-powerful production Camaro ever The 2012 Camaro ZL1's surpasses the advertised power of the legendary 1969 Camaro ZL1's 427 cubic-inch big block by more than 150 horsepower (112 kW) -- while meeting modern emissions requirements. And, the new ZL1 is backed by General Motors' five-year / 100,000-mile powertrain warranty. "The torque is going to make the ZL1 a car you won't want to get out of," said John Rydzewski, assistant chief engineer for small block engines. "Not only will the ZL1 have more power and torque than the competition, we're making it available with an optional automatic transmission, to appeal to a wider group of sports car enthusiasts." The all-aluminum LSA supercharged V-8 is part of GM's legendary small-block engine family. For a solid foundation, the engine's lower end uses six-bolt main bearing caps that clamp and lock in the forged steel crankshaft to the deep-skirt block. Its 1.9L Roots-style blower uses an efficient four-lob rotor set and compact Intercooler to deliver Boosted air into the high-flow cylinder heads. For the Camaro ZL1, the LSA features a unique induction system, with a lower-restriction air filter, dual inlet paths, and improved airflow through the Supercharger housing. Other changes include a higher-efficiency Supercharger Intercooler and electric power steering system, which consumes less engine power than hydraulic-steering systems. The ZL1 will be offered with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. The Tremec TR-6060 "MG9" manual features 30 percent more torque capacity than in the Camaro SS. The higher torque capacity results from a strengthened output shaft, high-strength rear housing, and additional roller bearing. The MG9 has also been tuned for improved shift feel, with a dual-mass flywheel, twin-disc clutch, and triple synchros for smooth, precise shifts.

Ariel Atom w/ Supercharger (400+ bhp) Launch control + afterburn !! - 1080p HD
During the Grand Prix of Middelharnis I have recorded this amazing Ariel Atom. It is based on a normal Ariel Atom, but this one is fitted with a Rotrex Supercharger. The engine is coming from a Honda 2.0L Type R. This gives the Ariel Atom more then 400 bhp! As you can see in this video, the Exhaust sound is more louder and it even gives the car an afterburn. Today we're behind the wheel of Chevrolet's pony car contender. Our tester couldn't be better suited for summer cruising, equipped with a power convertible top, a 426 horsepower 6.2-liter V8, a six-speed manual transmission and a dual mode active Exhaust system. Upping the ante even further is the Spring Special Edition options package, which includes 21-inch wheels, the RS appearance package, the rear spoiler from the ZL1 model and a blue leather interior with white accents. http://www.windingroad.com/articles/reviews/wr-tv-2014-chevrolet-Camaro-ss-convertible/ Wear headphones! 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 with Launch Control
While attending a press preview of the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at Virginia International Raceway, Vehix's Contributing Editor, Thom Blackett, grabbed this short clip demonstrating the car's launch control feature. The idea is to maximize off-the-line grip, something that can go up in smoke with a 580-horsepower muscle car. To activate the system, tap the traction control button (located forward of the gear shift) twice. At that point, plant the throttle and the engine rpm will be limited to about 4,000 (varies slightly depending on weather conditions). Drop the clutch, and you're off. Even under wet conditions, the 580-hp ZL1 was able to hook up and get moving, rather than sit and spin the rear rubber. And, thanks to a driver who had a little trouble activating the launch control system, we get to hear the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 sing at nearly full throttle.

2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Testing
Video of the new Camaro Z28 testing at Nurburgring in Germany. This is NOT the final look for the Z28. Everyone thinks these paint schemes are the final paint job. Its only to distort its looks to viewers. Notice the Lexus LFA at 1:51 & the new Cadillac CTS-V coupe at 3:01.. Just borrowing it LSA engine :-P To bad they didn't do a race GT500 Killer!

2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 vs 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition! - Head 2 Head Ep. 52
On this episode of Head 2 Head, Jonny Lieberman travels to Barber Motorsports Park for a head to head matchup with the brand new Chevy Camaro Z/28 and a well known heavyweight, the Nissan GT-R. But not just any GT-R, the 2014 Track Edition which packs a 545 hp twin-turbo V-6, a 6-speed dual clutch transmission, sticky Dunlop tires and AWD traction into a car without rear seats. The Z/28, by way of contrast, features a massive 7.0-liter naturally-aspirated V-8, a 6-speed manual transmission, and tail-out RWD. While it does still have rear seats, nearly every other non-essential component has been removed. Moreover, the Z28's tires might be even stickier! The front ones, enormous 305-sections, are certainly the widest tires ever bolted to a production car. Both cars are phenomenal, and both cars make rational men scream, "Gimme!" But only one can come out on top. Watch and find out!
