Saturday highlights. The Knox Mountain Hillclimb, is run annually on Knox
Mountain Park Road, in the City of Kelowna. The road, while paved, is
narrow with off-camber corners, and steep grades; a nice Sunday drive, but
hardly a race track. It is 2.2 miles (3.5km) long, and climbs approximately
800 feet (245 meters) in elevation for an average grade of 6.7%.
Past its 50th year, Knox Mountain is the longest annually running paved
hillclimb in North America. The event attracts top drivers from throughout
the Pacific Northwest, looking for the challenge and thrill of being
Cars are run one at a time, each trying to reach the top in the lowest
elapsed time. Drivers/cars compete in various classes from open wheeled
formula cars to powerful large engined GT cars. But, each hopes to be "King
of the Hill", earning the fastest time of the weekend.
The current hill record is 1m:37.065, held by John Haftner of Vancouver,
British Columbia. Times under two minutes are considered exceptionally
fast, with few drivers achieving that and even fewer sedans having ever
achieved that. Most times fall between 2m00s and 2m30s. To achieve top
times, speeds in excess of 160kpH must be reached on the short straights.
The road corners are known by their "numbers" and include three
switchbacks; each corner has its own features varying from steepness to
camber, to steep drop-offs if you go too wide.

1980 Trans Am's very First Drive After Sitting for 20 Years, Survivor
This car has been parked for 20 years without any attention. My brother and
I replaced all brake hoses, fluid flush on the engine, new radiator, new
spark plugs and wires, Carburetor needs to be rebuilt so that is the next

Just a few shots of all sorts of vehicles doing the noosa hill climb, had a
great time. The things at the end were called rage buggys, they have

Totally 100% Original 1980 Trans Am Survivor Barn/Yard Find Sat for 20 Years
This video is the actual first time seeing this car for myself. It was
pulled out from the original owners back yard and pulled to a friends home
until I could get there. This day it was 102 degrees outside so sorry for
all of the puffing going on. This car was going to be scrapped after a
mechanic came to see it and he said this car will never run. Well he was
totally mistaken. Car sat outside for 18 years and its still not a rust
bucket.. We got it running and now working on the carb. UPDATE. WE REBUILT
THE CARB TWICE AND REPLACE THE GAS TANK, ALL GAS LINES, SPARK PLUGS WATER
PUMP, RADIATOR AND 3 BENT PUSH RODS AND 2 BROKEN ONES. SHE NOW IS A DAILY
DRIVER AND RUNS LIKE NEW AND BURNS NO OIL. I HAVE PUT OVER 4,000 MILES ON
HER IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS WITH NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER. GO TO MY PAGE AND YOU

Junkyard Turbo Swap! Chevy-Powered 1971 Datsun 240Z Autocross Thrash - Roadkill Ep. 26
What do you get when you cross a rusted 1971 Datsun 240Z with a Chevy 4.3L
V6 and a turbo from a Ford Power Stroke
Diesel? The Rotsun! During Roadkill Episode 25, Freiburger and Finnegan
revived the Rotsun expecting it to dominate in the 9-car autocross showdown
of previous Roadkill project cars. It also needed to beat a 2014 Kia Rio 5,
but failed to do so with the Rotsun shamefully breaking down before
completing a decent lap. So in this episode: revenge. After swapping in the
mismatched turbo and making nearly 400
rear-wheel horsepower, the guys head to
the autocross at the Goodguys 5th Spring Nationals in Scottsdale, Arizona
and mingle with fans on their way to a rematch with that dastardly Kia.
