A lap from a video car (Alfa 147 GTA) of my BMW 318iS. A lot of traffic on the Ring, so every now and then the video car needs to wait to overtake some of the slower drivers to film from more up-close.

Driving my BMW E36 318iS around the Nurburgring at the Driving Fun track
day. First time out on the ring, this is lap 12 and 13 off the day.
Stock 318iS, 140bhp, 225-45-17 street tires, minor changes to chassis,
cooling and brakes. Sparco Sprint bucket seats and 4 point belts.
Lap 1 is nice and clear of traffic (BTG time is 9m30s), lap 2 is more busy
but also great fun. Sound of the passing cars is superb! The Nissan GT-R
and 2 BMW M3's passing are impressive, as is the flame spitting Renault
Clio at Schwedenkreuz!
Excellent organized by Driving Fun and Sky Limit, nice and respectful
driving of all competitors. Well done!
BMW E36 318iS at Fuji Speed Way Racing Course (FSW)
The fastest lap this morning was 2min26.74sec which is seen the first
attack lap in this video. This is an old BMW vehicle made in 1996 and had
run for more than 86000 km colored in Montreal blue recently customized
with a Recaro full bucket sheet, an OMP steering wheel, system of Nology
Hot wire plus Hot earth, new suspension system of Bilstein BTS performance
kit and powered by Supersprint racing muffler. Other several parts had to
be replaced genuine parts in many ways.
The maximum speed in the straight track marked 188 km/h in the first
attack lap just before the 1st corner.

It is a pity we can not buy this Super Sprint Racing muffler anymore.

January lap at the Nurburgring. Cold, but dry. Not the optimal tyres to say
the least, but then again: normally it is winter in January at the
Nurburgring, so I'm just enjoying the fact that we could drive !

Challenge Nürburgring (RCN) 2008 in der Klasse V2 für seriennahe
BMW 1M at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. 11.29 BTG. Very wet, scruffy lap
Not an example of a good lap on the ring. The first lap of the day and the
first time driving the car for over six months (literally got in at the
parking lot and drove straight onto the ring).
- The ring is an unpredictable dangerous place (watch 6.59)
- M-dynamic mode slows you down and usually cuts te power AFTER you have
corrected the slide, because it is programmed to kick in fairly late.
- VLN racing leaves a lot of rubber behind, combined with rain it makes the
track very slippery (watch 00:10 to 12:00 :D)
- This video shows a lot of bad driving (TC kicks in way too much), maybe I
should have brought a kayak today.
- Conservative braking is a must on a wet nordschleife
