We set out on a mission to see which performs better - the Toyota Hilux's or the Nissan 3.0 litre turbo - all tested out on the sandy terrain of Cape Town's Atlantis Dunes.

The Biggest Jump At Silver Lake Sand Dunes
Mike Higgins has accomplished the incredible feat of jumping the farthest ever in a vehicle at Silver Lake. It was 180 feet. He was not injured in the jump. This years event was cut short by the local rangers as the Huck Fest is not a sanctioned event. With the event not lasting more then 20 minutes there were not many jumps. Pismo Beach Sand Dune Motorcycle Crash. Dune to Dune Attempt and FAIL!!
I was trying to Jump from Dune to Dune at Pismo beach! 5th gear wide open on my Yz 125(Just list to that bike scream). This was in the pre 4-stroke days, otherwise I probably would have made it. lol Left with a fractured tibia and some frequent flyer miles.
SA Suzuki Club Meet No2 - Jimnys in Atlantis
First time in the sand with the new Suzuki Club. This was their second meet and we are sure to have many more. Meeting was held in the beautiful Atlantis sand dunes 1/2 hr from Cape Town. The boys in the car were pretending the Jimny was allot bigger than what we know it to be.

Having some fun at Atlantis dunes. Got stuck at the entrance and could not get all the way up on the steepest dune, other than that, buggy went very well.
