03-05-2009 EVO vs WRX series, Round 2 Jacks Hill Climb - Run 1
This was my very first run up the hill, first competitive (timed) outing in the WRX. Cold tires and hot blood = big pants moment as I crested the hill to find i should have braked WAY earlier and the cold tires gave no grip. Solution = handbrake. bit rattled but I finished the run off. Time - 65.85 93 Impreza GX, RA replica. Motec, Dogbox, DMS coilovers, Alcon brakes.

last run of the day, someone went off in a big way after me so this run was cancelled. lucky because i couldn't find 2nd gear, find and grind. did 1minute flat so if i hadn't stuffed up the start it would have been my best time for the day

Me in Dad's mk.4 twin turbo supra doing my fastest lap of the day. a 39.8s lap good enough for second in class, 0.1 seconds behind a same spec supra on race tyres. Dad's car is only on street tyres, estimated value on race tyres is 1second or so. The track is Jack's Hill Hillclimb Circuit, situated just behind the barbagallo circuit at wanneroo in Perth, WA.
