Dads 1968 Dodge Dart, Drag Car
This is a video is of my Dads Drag Car, it is a 1968 Dodge Dart. The Engine is 496 Cubic inch wedge motor built by Bryan Sloan, 748 Horse Power 677 Foot Pounds of torque. The Carburetors were built and tuned by PC Carb & Speed, Fuel System built and installed by PC Carb & Speed. The Headers are Modified Pro Parts Headers modified by FU2, Indy SR cylinder Heads, 5200 Stall Convertor, 513 Gears. The Transmission was built by Pro Trans. All Chassis and Tin work done by FU2 Fabrication Unlimited Squared. and the video was filmed and edited by Russell Nightengale Jr. of bandtrak.com

Over the years, we've seen some nicely restored Darts. Vanguard Motor Sales in Plymouth, Michigan is proud to debut one of the most spectacularly restored Darts we've ever seen! The previous owner purchased the car in 2005 and went through the process of fixing, cleaning and replacing everything. There are only 500 miles on the car since the rebuild.
Let's start with the exterior. '67-'69 Darts have always had a purposeful look, and the '67 is the cleanest of all with no side marker lights, a cleaner front grille and uncluttered taillights. The beautiful Hemi Orange paint was done in 2005, and looks near perfect today. Both bumpers were re-chromed in 2006, so you can imagine the way they shine. All of the window molding was replaced in 2011 and the glass looks brand new. It sure is pretty but you'd be crazy to tangle with this bad boy on the street!
Lift the hood of this Dart and you'll find a 340 cubic inch 4 barrel out of a 1971 Plymouth Barracuda. An electric ignition gets her fired up and fresh headers with electric bypass were also included in the rebuild. The 4 speed transmission, out of the same 1971 Barracuda as the engine, does not disappoint. It all ends up with a stock Mopar 3:90 gear rear end and 2 ½" stainless steel Exhaust with electric outlets, which sound amazing opened or closed.
Inside, the newly upholstered black bucket seats, door panels, trim and dash looks right at home. This is a cool car to just sit in and look around. New and re-chromed shiny stuff abounds while a single aftermarket tachometer sits on the dash. Neat stuff!
Throw the car on a lift and take in the details. There are all new bushings, suspension shocks, front disc and rear drum brakes. The undercarriage and trunk are both super solid. Show or shine this is one heck of a car!

In this video, Don Harrison from Comox Valley Dodge shows off the 2013 Dodge Dart Rallye.
This is a sporty looking car. It has race track tail lamps that go across the whole rear of the car. When they light up with the LED lights, they look really cool. Even with a 4 cylinder engine, this car still has dual Exhaust.
The Rallye edition gives you a body coloured grille, blacked out head lamp bezels and black on the lower portion of the grille. It's an upgrade from the base models. They all come with 4 wheel anti-lock disc brakes but the Rallye edition comes with 17 inch alloy wheels.
Under the hood is a brand new 1.4L multi-air turbo engine which produces 160hp making it pretty peppy. Even with a turbo engine, this car is getting 58mpg.
Power windows and locks, cell phone connections and cruise control are found on the steering wheel, standard AM/FM CD player, air conditioning and climate control are all part of the upgraded interior. This model is a 6-speed manual with diesel grey cloth interior.

68 Dart Sedan 440 first start up
This is my 1968 Dodge Dart sedan pro-street, its been four and a half years since I started on it and I have built it on a very tight budget.
The motor is a 440 running 11.75-1 comp a big Crower cam and Hauser ported heads,727 rmvb and a load of trick parts from Cope racing transmissions out back is an 83/4 with 4.56 gear on a spool and the rear tyres are 31-18.50x15. Now looking for some fun!!!

68 Dart Restoration 01
Here is a video showing the progress of my restoration of this 1968 Dart GTS. So far all the body panels, floor and trunk have been replaced, repaired, and straightened. Additionally the rear frame rail and inner wheel house have also been repaired. Hood, trunk, doors, and front fenders have been restored and will soon find their way back on the car for fitting and any final body work. This represents about 1500 hours of work to date.

LS3 G8 GXP Firebird East Jan 2012 good motor sounds
I'm up to about 500 crank HP now and it's overpowering my Michelin Pilot Sports. Need something wider/stickier. Car wants to get sideways coming out of corners and on the 2-3 shift. Probably do better to just keep it in 3rd on this track.
Air temp was only about 40 deg, so not great for tires. Managed a bunch of 1:14 laps, but didn't break 1:13s until next session.
Hard to stay ahead of these little sticky-tired waterbugs on tight track. The GTI and the Mazdaspeed were both expert-driven with very sticky tires.
Planned on going with orange group, but got there early and red group was empty, so went with that.
Some good sounds at the 9:00 mark !
