LMC Super Cuda 200 MPH!
log onto www.legendarymotorcar.com to see photos of the build!
Lady Luck was on our side last week as the Legendary Team made its way to
the Chrysler Proving Grounds in Chelsea, Michigan.
An all night drive through a snow storm saw us pull into the proving
grounds parking lot at the crack of dawn. It was cold and overcast but no
sign of rain or snow. It looked like the weather would cooperate, the next
hurdle was having MOPAR engineers check out the Cuda. The car passed with
flying colors, testament to the sweat and dedication put in by everyone at
Legendary over the last year.
Then it was off to the black lake for some real world handling tests in
preparation for the 4.75 mile oval and a crack a breaking the 200 mph mark.
Both the Cuda and the Enzo look impressive on the track but once the sun
began to come out late that morning the setting was perfect for our high
speed run. I think we captured some spectacular footage of a once in a life
After a brief mishap, when the Cuda lost its windshield trim at 190 mph,
Peter was ready to go. We could hear the Cuda coming long before we could
see her, as the cars went by they sounded like jet fighters. Top speed 208
mph with still some leftwe did it!
1969 Roadrunner 440 six pack Dana disc
We finally finished this super nice1969 Road Runner, this is a full nut and
bolt rotisserie resto. We started with a super straight and solid 1969 Road
Runner, we took the body down to bare metal and started from scratch.
Underside of the car has been coated with a rubberized bed liner for sound
deadening and protection from road debris. Then we painted the top side
with a really high quality base coat clear coat Black paint, we put on
extra coats of clear so we would have more material to wet sand and buff to
that show car finish. We put disc brakes on all four corners, tubular upper
control arms and upgraded PST suspension parts. The engine is a beefed up
440 that is pushing 500 plus horse power with the 6 pack set up on it. We
installed a 4 speed transmission, with a pistol grip shifter.
Concept Dodge Charger and Daytona
I bare no hatred towards the current Charger, I've got tons of respect for
it. With that in mind I just wanted to have some fun and do my own version
based off the old cars and give it a modern spin like what was done with
the Challenger. This is all done for fun, I'm not out to start flame wars
or anything. Opinions and criticism are most welcome.
With that said this is my concept of at Charger and Daytona it's largely
based off of the 69 & 70 with optional grills for both years. It's been
designed in a way to support being put on the current Challenger chassis
the dimensions of it are almost the same it's just a little longer in the
front and back. The interior for the moment is almost the same as the
current Charger. Some things are still subject to change like the backup
lights being in the tail lights I might put them in the body.
This is a fully modeled car with interior engine bay and trunk, I started
designing it last year about this time on my laptop (pc had just died). The
base design was done in about 5 days modeling the interior, motor and other
details took a little longer and I spent the rest of the time tinkering
with the body shape.
The music is from the site danosongs(dot)com
First track is I feel You
Second track is Black box in the Ground
Credit for the music goes of him.
Anyway this is my concept for the new Charger and Daytona, opinions and
criticism welcome, just keep it constructive. : )
