There are 3 models of Sequoia for purchase: the base SR5 costs $40,930, the Limited costs $51,040, and the Platinum costs $58,580. The 2012 Toyota Sequoia comes in either 2WD or 4WD.
There are 2 different engines offered on the Sequoia for the 2012 model year. Them smaller engine can be found on the lower model SUVs. This 4.6 liter V-8 engine makes 310 horsepower and 327 lb-ft. of torque. The larger engine is a 5.7 liter V-8 motor that makes 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft. of torque. Both engine comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy is 14 MPG in the city and 20 MPG on the highway for the smaller 4.6 liter engine and 13 MPG in the city and 18 MPG on the highway for the larger 5.7 liter engine.
On the outside there are a ton of standard features. The bumpers are color matched to the rest of the body. The Sequoia gets standard fog lamps and a chrome grille surround. The stock 18-inch alloy wheels look great but you can upgrade to a set of 20-inch alloy sport wheels which really stand out. The rear liftgate automatically opens and closes. Also the Sequoia comes standard with a roof rack, running boards, and mud guards.
On the inside the Sequoia base model gets cloth seating but the Premium models get leather seats that are power adjustable. The standard radio comes with a CD player, Bluetooth, iPod connection, and Sirius XM Satellite Radio. You can upgrade to a great 12-speaker JBL Synthesis stereo system. There is also a touch-screen navigation unit as an option. As stated earlier the 2012 Toyota Sequoia can seat up to 8 passengers. But there is an option which swaps out the middle row seating with 2 oversized Captains Chairs. The Sequoia also comes with power everything as a standard feature.

The 2012 Cadillac Escalade exudes style and sophistication, and is also packed full of the latest and greatest technology as well as a very powerful engine. The base price for this SUV is $63,170 with the top of the line Platinum Edition AWD moving off dealer lots starting at $82,495.
The 2012 Cadillac Escalade is powered by a powerful 6.2 liter V-8 engine that produces 403 horsepower and 417 lb-ft. of torque. The Escalade's transmission is a 6-speed automatic that is very responsive and great for towing. The Escalade also comes with either a RWD or AWD drivetrain. Fuel economy for the 4x2 model is 14 MPG in the city and 18 MPG on the highway thanks to Active Fuel Management which essentially turns the Escalade V-8 into a 4-cylinder engine at low operating loads. The suspension features Magnetic Ride Control Shocks that sense changes in the road and make adjustments every few milliseconds. This technology allows the shocks to dampen almost instantaneously providing a comfortable ride.
The Escalade has always been known to have the latest and greatest technology available from Cadillac. Some great features found on the 2012 model include: Blind Zone Alert, Touch-Screen Navigation, Bose surround sound, and more. There is DVD entertainment for the rear passengers. Leather seating and surfaces along with high end wood trim pieces are prevalent in the 2012 Cadillac Escalade. And now the Escalade also features cool LED headlights and taillights.

2013 Infiniti JX35 Test Drive & Luxury Crossover Review Video

Infiniti currently has a couple of great 5-passenger luxury vehicles like the FX and EX. If you are looking for a 7-passenger luxury vehicle, then the QX56 was your only choice. But that full sized SUV is pretty expensive. The Infiniti JX35 fills the need for a reasonably priced 7-passenger vehicle. The base price on the JX35 is $40,450.
Under the hood the 2013 Infiniti JX35 is powered by a 3.5 liter V-6 engine. This is the same engine that powers the Nissan Altima and Maxima. Power output is 265 horsepower and 248 lb-ft. of torque. The JX35 is a front wheel drive crossover with a CVT transmission. The Infiniti JX35 with FWD gets 18 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway which is very respectable for a 7-passenger luxury crossover.
Infiniti really focused on the amount of seating space in both the 2nd and 3rd rows. What's really innovative is not just the amount of room but how easy it is to access the 3rd row seating area. The seats fold and slide with a simple button and push of the hand. The inside of the Infiniti JX35 is all about luxury and comfort. The maple word trim gives a warm and natural feel. Many of the surfaces are wrapped in beautiful leather. The 2nd and 3rd rows can be folded flat to provide a ton of storage space. There is also a cargo bin built into the floor for extra space. The 2 panoramic moonroofs offer an outstanding view of the sky above for the rear occupants.
Technology wise the 2013 Infiniti JX35 sports the latest advancements including the revolutionary Back-up Collision Intervention system. If you are backing up and a small child, car, or anything else gets in the way; the system will first alert the driver then stop the vehicle if necessary. There are a couple of sensors located at the rear of the vehicle that provide a 180 degree will sense of the surrounding area. The JX35 comes packed with tons of features and options. This is the perfect choice for those looking for a 7-passenger luxury vehicle.

So can the 2012 Land Rover LR4 adapt to suburban life? Well the Land Rover LR4 is very comfortable, it is easy to drive, has plenty of power, and can seat up to 7 passengers. The base price on the 2012 Land Rover LR4 is $48,900 with the top of the line HSE LUX model going for $58,995.
The 2012 Land Rover LR4 is powered by a 5.0 liter V-8 direct injected engine that produces 375 horsepower and 375 lb-ft. of torque. Power is transferred to the wheels through a 6-speed ZF automatic transmission. The Land Rover LR4 sports full time AWD. Fuel economy is 12 MPG in the city and 17 MPG on the highway.
The AWD system is pretty technologically advanced which is why Land Rover SUVs are considered the best off-road vehicles the world over. The LR4 features Hill Descent Control which allows the vehicle to navigate steep terrain without the driver needing to use the brake or accelerator. The Gradient Release Control also works with the HDC to provide a smooth pace downhill. The Electronic Traction Control supplies power to the wheel that needs it most in the even of slippage. At each corner of the SUV there is a sophisticated air suspension. This is used to either lower the LR4 for street use or to raise the SUV almost 5 inches for maximum ground clearance while off-road. Dynamic Stability Control improves the LR4's handing while on the road. Tall SUVs are known to roll over but the Roll Stability Control System works to keep all 4 wheels on the road. The 2012 Land Rover LR4 has a towing capacity of 7,700 lbs. To help prevent trailer sway the LR4 has something called Trailer Stability Assist to help correct any towing problems.
Besides the great off-road capabilities the 2012 Land Rover LR4 comes packed with tons of luxury features and option on the inside. The seats are wrapped in high-end leather as are many of the interior surfaces. You can choose between a Walnut trim or a Black Lacquer trim. The driver sits in an optimum position so that they have a commanding view of the road. The huge sunroof is called the Alpine Roof and provides tons of light to all the passengers. A 7-inch touch screen navigation unit and Harmon/Kardon stereo system are wonderful features.
The 2012 Land Rover LR4 love to hit the trail and take on tough off-road challenges. But this SUV is more than capable being your daily luxury SUV driver.

The 2013 Lexus LX 570 is powered by a 5.7 liter V-8 that can be found in other Toyota vehicles like the Land Cruiser and the Sequoia. This engine has dual Variable Valve Timing and produces 383 horsepower and 403 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is an electronically controlled 6-speed unit with a sequential shift feature. The 2013 Lexus LX 570 manages 12 MPG in the city and 17 MPG on the highway. The LX 570 features full-time 4 wheel-drive with a limited slip differential. This Luxury SUV is based on the Toyota Land Cruiser which has great off-road ability. A couple other standard features include Hill-Start Assist Control, Adaptive Variable Suspension, Active Height Control, and Crawl Control. All these hardcore off-road features may be a bit overkill for a Luxury SUV. The towing capability of the 2013 Lexus LX 570 is 7,000 lbs.
On the outside the new Lexus LX 570 gets the same design and styling treatment as many other new Lexus vehicles. The front bumper and grille look similar to the GS series. A set of huge 20-inch alloys are standard on the LX 570. These chrome rims are a must for any luxury SUV. Another feature that is common to high-end luxury vehicles are the LED daytime running lights and the LX 570 has a great looking set. There are other chrome accent pieces located throughout the rest of the exterior.
On the inside of the 2013 Lexus LX 570, the passengers are bathed in both luxury and technology. In the luxury department, this full sized SUV sports fine leather and wood trim. The steering wheel has tons of integrated controls. The gauges are quite sexy with electroluminescent blue backlighting. There is a Dual-screen DVD rear entertainment system that's available as an option. The sound system is by Mark Levinson and comes with 19-speakers located throughout the cabin. Lexus offers something called a cool box which is essentially a fridge located in the armrest. Talk about luxury! The 2013 Lexus LX 570 is equipped with everything else you would expect from a high end luxury SUV including: Navigation, power fold rear seating, climate control, Smart Stop technology, a Pre-Collision System, and more.
The 2013 Lexus LX 570 is loaded to the hilt with safety, security, and luxury amenities. Beyond that the LX 570 is a very capable off-road SUV. There are very few choices out there if you are looking for an 8 passenger Luxury SUV but the 2013 Lexus LX 570 has all the bases covered.

2013 Toyota Venza Drive & Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Venza is Toyota's interpretation of the modern station wagon. Once upon a time it used to be that family haulers came in very limited flavors but today family vehicle buyers can choose from mini van, SUV's Crossovers and even the Toyota Venza. Think of the Venza the offspring of a Crossover that fell in love and married a station wagon. The result is a roomy, sleek, buff and low family hauler with 20 inch wheels. The Venza's base 182-horsepower, 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine is just adequate to haul around the big-boned wagon. The bigger and more powerful 268-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 does a much better job when mated to the 6 speed automatic turning the Venza into a more exciting, if not quite fun, car to drive.
The Venza offers solid plat form for a comfortable, well dampened and relaxed ride. However if you are looking for a thrilling drive to work when the kids are at school the Venza is not your cup of tea. Solid performance...yes. Carving the back roads...no.
