2012 Mazda Mazda2 Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/mazda/mazda2/2012/?id=32972 Here in America we think bigger is better. But now with gas prices on the rise the smaller sub-compact car is getting all the attention. Mazda brought over the 2012 Mazda2 to take on the likes to the Nissan Versa and Honda Fit. The Mazda2 is a bit more sporty and full of Zoom Zoom! There is no mistaking the 2012 Mazda2 for anything else with its bright green paint and front bumper with a huge smile. Mazda kept things simple when it comes to the Mazda2. The base price is $14,530 and the car is powered by a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 100 horsepower and 98 lb-ft. of torque.  Fuel economy checks in at 29 MPG in the city and 35 MPG on the highway. On the inside the Mazda features a driver focused cockpit. The seat is cushioned, the manual transmission is perfectly place, the gauges are easy to read, and the buttons are in the right place. The 2012 Mazda2 is frugal, fun to drive, and practical. It is a fantastic car. Mazda knows how to make a sporty car no matter the price point. The 2012 Mazda2 might be the most fun you can have with a 100 horsepower engine. 2014 Toyota Yaris SE Test Drive & Small Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/toyota/yaris/2014/?id=32972 The Yaris is the smallest and least expensive car that Toyota sells here in the U.S. Do you get good value for money if you buy a Toyota Yaris? Well when stacked up against the competition maybe. One thing you can be sure of is that the build quality and reliability is there since this is a Toyota Product. The Yaris has 12 different trim models with a base price as low as $14,430. The SE model with the manual transmission tested here costs $16,540. Under the hood is a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder that makes 106 horsepower and 103 lb-ft. of torque. You get either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission, both of which seem a decade behind the times. The fuel economy estimates are good at 30 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway. The Yaris only comes as a hatchback for the 2014 model year. This compact small car is lacking in rear cargo storage room. The backseat however is not too shabby when it comes to space. This being an entry level car, the interior materials are not going to be anything special. But surprisingly the Yaris is pretty nice. The Nissan Versa has more interior room, the Chevy Spark is more fun to drive, and the Mitsubishi Mirage gets better fuel economy. All these cars also cost less than the Yaris. But you can bank on Toyota reliability and build quality. See More Car Videos http://www.autobytel.com/car-videos/?id=32972 Join Our Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/autobytel

2012 Toyota Prius c Test Drive & Hybrid Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/toyota/prius/2012/?id=32972 Toyota changed the automotive landscape in 2000 when it launched the first generation of the Prius. Now for the 2012 model year there is a whole Prius family to choose from which includes the regular Prius, Prius v for larger families, Prius Plug-in, and now the Prius c. The 2012 Toyota Prius c is aimed at those who do a lot of city driving. The Prius c has a few more sporty bits to entice younger buyers. Up front the fascia wide and aggressive, the headlights look cool and updated. Out back there are fins on the tail lights which help to create a vortex and keep the Prius c stable at speed. Starting at about $19,000 the Prius c has 4 different trim levels. The engine on the 2012 Toyota Prius c is a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor and battery pack which completes the Hybrid Synergy Drive. The Prius c only has 99 horsepower but the fuel economy more than makes up for this small figure. Gas mileage for the Prius c is an amazing 53 MPG in the city and 46 MPG on the highway. With any sub-compact hatchback you might think there is not very much cargo room. With the seats folded down the Prius c has 17 cubic feet of cargo room. The batter pack is located under the back seat which makes for a tight squeeze. Up front is a different story as the driver and passenger seats are very comfortable. They are wrapped in a simulated leather which means no cows were harmed in the making of the seats. Everything is within easy reach. The vehicle displays gives tons of info related to the fuel economy. With only 99 horsepower the car should be sluggish. But on the highway the Prius c performs pretty well. The drive is sportier than the regular Prius which is right up the alley of younger potential buyers. Toyota has done a great job of creating a comfortable ride. The 2012 Toyota Prius c is lighter which helps with handling and the car also gets wonderful gas mileage ratings. 2012 Scion xD Test Drive and Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/scion/xd/2012/ The 2012 Scion xD is a car that has been marketed to the younger generation since its inception. But the xD is more than just a sub-compact teenager car. Instead the Scion xD is affordably priced, it gets solid fuel economy, it looks good, and comes packed with a ton of standard features and options; making it an appealing vehicle for a broad spectrum of car buyers. And the best part if the 2012 Scion xD only costs $15,345. The best thing about the Scion line-up is that all the vehicles they make are pretty hip and sporty. They all drive well and get excellent fuel economy. The second best thing about the Scion brand is that they are a no non-sense company. Meaning they offer one trim level per vehicle. So the Honda Accord or Ford F-150 for instance can have up to 30 different trim levels. Not so with the 2012 Scion xD. There is one model available with either a manual or automatic transmission. From there you can add on tons of options for the engine, suspension, interior, and exterior. Toyota Racing Development (TRD) makes tons of parts for the Scion xD which can be ordered directly through the dealership. Want a cool performance Exhaust or sport air filter? TRD makes those. Want to lower your ride and add stiffer suspension components? No problem as those can be bought and installed from any Scion dealership. The options for exterior, interior, and performance modifications are numerous. In the end you can have a very unique automobile right from the factory. The 2012 Scion xB is powered by a 1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 128 horsepower and 125 lb-ft. of torque. Not a whole lot but this is a sub-compact car and it does not take much to get it going. Also remember the xD is quite inexpensive so you cannot expect to have a high powered motor. The small engine makes for great fuel economy with the 2012 Scion xD netting 27 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway. The Scion xD comes standard with many great features like air conditioning, power everything, cruise control, keyless entry, a Pioneer audio system, Bluetooth, and HD radio. The 2012 Scion xD is also very safe getting top ratings in 12 of the 13 IIHS categories.
