245k miles Cadillac Deville (V8 Engine) gets 28.4 MPG
My Cadillac Deville has 245k miles on it. I never had any problem with it since I bought it in 2003. I just came back from a long trip to los vegas. The car get over 28 MPG on highway.
Everything is orignial except the tires and brake pads/rotors and blower motor. The blower motor was faild in 2005. I took the bad motor out and found it was made in Japan.

Dynomax SuperTurbos on an Eldorado
This is a 95 or older Eldorado Touring Coupe. I believe it had no resonator on this year so it may be louder than a later model (too many complaints by the older consumers). This video was uploaded to cadillacforums a while back, but I thought I'd make it available on here for all to enjoy. The mufflers are Dynomax Super turbos
Cadillac head gasket repaired
You check for leaks and everything looks good. Your mechanic checks the cooling system and also finds nothing wrong. In fact, most Cadillacs can idle all day and not loose a drop of coolant or overheat. However, as soon as you get on the freeway the temperature starts to go up and the low coolant light appears again. When you check the coolant level it's very low. Frequently requiring a gallon or more to refill. Without any clear indication as to what's causing the problem your mechanic may suggest replacing various cooling system components. Again, this may resolve the problem for a while, but soon the low coolant light re-appears. What to do? Call Thermalweld Technical Support at 877-220-9944.
Test Drive: 1996 Cadillac Sedan Deville
This is the second of many test drive videos to come, expect drives of all the vehicles currently on the lot that I have not done already! Here is the 1996 cadillac deville with the 32v northstar V8 engine and dual Exhaust. I take it for a drive for the first time to check it over before it goes on the lot. I take it through some normal city driving, do a couple of acceleration passes and check it over in depth to make sure it's perfect, and of course it was :)
98 Deville Northstar Head Gasket Failure Test
I have two 98 Northstar Cadillacs. One has 195,000mi and NO headgasket problems. This one did.
Bought a kit from Napa to test the Headgaskets on a 1998 Cadillac Deville for leaks. The test shows there is a leak.

My Northstar
This my Northstar. Had 62k miles at the time, and has been rebuilt with new headgaskets, water crossover, motor mounts, lower end reseal, and many other things before I purchased the car at 54k miles. I have just found out the "click click click click" noise is the camshafts. My particular car is an early 2000 Northstar and the cams are sometimes noisy and cause a slightly off idle. My car does both unfortunately. Not a big deal though.
Another Reason NOT TO BUY A NORTHSTAR 4.6L Cadillac
I don't know why a pulley that controls the top cams would be made of plastic instead of steel... but after the tree pull it sat for a week or two then this happened. I have since pulled the motor and started taking it apart for scrap... its a bad design from the start the heater core has a section that says CUT here for service... the headers on the back cant be removed without dropping the transmission. Tell me one good point about this engine!
2001 Cadillac deville DTS intermittent starting
I have this issue with my cadillac, when you turn the key sometimes it wont start, this is only after short trips. checked the DTC had issues with the crank shaft position sensors and cam position sensors, replaced all 3 and still this, has anyone else had this problem?
Back Lot Dealership Start Ups Part 2 (Volvo S80, Pontiac Grand Am, Ford Windstar, Cadillac Deville)
In this video I give a full in depth tour of 4 different vehicles as part 2 of 4 of my new video series of back lot dealership start ups: a Volvo S80, Cadillac Deville, Ford Windstar, and a pontiac Grand Am SE V6. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of these cars while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicles themselves. I also show the engines and the details of them, start them up and see how they sound under acceleration. Visit Monroe Motor Company's Website if you want to inquire about purchase prices of these vehicles
98 Eldorado Wide Open Throttle
WOT = Wide Open Throttle.
Step 1: At a dead stop, shift into '2'.
Step 2: From a slight roll, try to put your accelerator through the firewall.
Step 3: Hold your foot down as the car shifts from 1st gear to 2nd gear.
Step 4: Take your foot off the pedal just before 2nd gear redline - but if you miss, don't worry, the car will shift into 3rd to protect itself from damage. All modern automatics do that.
0-60 in 7 seconds, thanks to a 4.6L Northstar V8 with DOHC and 300hp.
Listen for the tire squeak as the car upshifts, between 5-6 seconds in.
Soundtrack: "Evenflow" and "Keep on Rockin' In The Free World (live cover)", Pearl Jam. Sorry about the sound quality - the screeching noise at 20 seconds is the cheering on the stereo for the live track.
