Karmann Ghia - Convertible Top Installation - Part 4 - Outer Canvas
It been a long time since the last video on the install (September 2012 to be exact). The top arrived from TMI by way of HOG and this video shows the installation of the canvas top onto the headlined and padded frame. I will have one more video in this series showing the finishing touches and adding all the necessary seals around the windows.

Excellent trim and chrome with lots of new rubber, crisp, clear windshield, excellent tires and brakes. Engine in excellent condition, rebuilt less than 10k miles ago with dual carburetors and runs like a champ. Shifting is tight and smooth as well. The interior still has some original patina'd areas like the original square weave rugs, giving it a nice vintage feel. Otherwise the front seats and panels have been replaced along with the headliner and newer cloth top and boot cover. The floors and rockers are super solid. Everything is in great working order. We are currently replacing the fuel sender so that will be completed at time of shipping. Important to note that 1967 is a low production year making it pretty rare since only 4,100 were built. Replacing the top on my 1991 Trans Am ASC convertible. The steps I took should be virtually the same for all ASC convertible third-gen f-bodies.
