► 2013 Volkswagen CC - INTERIOR

► http://www.youcar.tv When the Volkswagen CC made its debut four years ago, it was the first four-door coupé in the 30,000 to 40,000 euro class. From this niche, a new segment quickly developed -- to date, nearly 270,000 people around the globe have chosen the sedan with the stylish lines of a sports car. They are car drivers who love the charm of a coupé but also value space for at least 4 persons and 4 doors. Now, Volkswagen is presenting a technically and visually updated version of the popular business vehicle. With new front and rear styling, the new perfected Volkswagen CC makes an even bolder move towards the automotive luxury class. Its extended range of standard features has become more exclusive as well; they now include new bi-xenon headlights, static cornering lights and a new LED tail light design. Also standard: fatigue detection, RCD 310 radio-CD system, stainless steel door sill plates and safety head restraints with additional longitudinal adjustment (front seats). New assistance systems are making their way into the CC as well. They include optional technologies such as Side Assist Plus with integrated Lane Assist (warns of vehicles in blind spots and assists driver in avoiding an accident by steering intervention), Dynamic Light Assist (automatic main beam control) that is new in the Volkswagen CC and a camera- based traffic sign detection system. Meanwhile, comfort is optimised by the 'climate seat' with integrated massage function. The Volkswagen CC will be powered by innovative petrol and diesel direct-injection engines; all of the diesels (TDI) are equipped with a Stop/Start system and battery regeneration mode (for recovering braking energy) as standard. All petrol engines also have battery regeneration functionality. The TDI engines output 103 kW / 140 PS and 125 kW / 170 PS. The petrol engines of the European CC versions develop a sporty 118 kW / 160 PS, 155 kW / 210 PS and 220 kW / 300 PS of power. In the USA, the Volkswagen will once again launch with petrol engines that output 147 kW / 200 PS (TSI) and 206 kW / 280 PS (FSI). All engines go to work with excellent efficiency. A prime example is the 140 PS TDI. Together with a manual six-speed gearbox, its combined fuel consumption is just 4.7 l/100 km (equivalent to 125 g/km CO 2). The new Volkswagen CC will be revealed to the public in a world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show (November 18 to 27). The market launch phase begins shortly thereafter. Volkswagen will first offer the new CC in Germany in February 2012, then in stages across Europe, America, Russia, China (local version starting in 2013) and all other sales regions relevant to this vehicle class.

2012 BMW 3er Modern Line [interior]
With the announcement of the sixth generation BMW 3 Series Sedan, the benchmark by which all sport sedans are measured just got raised. The pioneering history of the 3 Series serves as inspiration for the new sports sedan, whose powerful styling represents a fresh interpretation and conscientious development of traditional BMW design cues. It will not only set new standards for performance and handling but also for luxury, technology and efficiency as well. The all-new BMW 3 Series Sedan arrives in US showrooms in February 2012 as a 2012 model. The new BMW face, with elongated headlights reaching along as far as the BMW kidney grille, emphasizes the new BMW 3 Series' sense of width and strengthens its athletic overall profile. The sixth generation of the 3 Series has grown moderately in size compared to its predecessor, with its wide track (front + 37 mm/1.46 in., rear + 47 mm/1.85 in.) particularly prominent, and the car's length (+ 93 mm/3.66 in.) and wheelbase (+ 50 mm/1.96 in.) also accentuates its sporting allure. Inside the new BMW 3 Series Sedan, the rear passengers will appreciate the noticeable increase in space made possible by the larger dimensions. And the BMW 3 Series range is now also available in a trio of trim and equipment variants -- the Sport Line, Luxury Line and Modern Line. Each presents its own individual take on the character of the sports sedan, with exclusive, high-quality material combinations and unbeatable build quality underlining the premium ambience of the new range. Drive and chassis technology have always been key areas of expertise for the brand, and agility and driving dynamics remain outstanding attributes of the new BMW 3 Series Sedan. The new car belies its larger dimensions with an equipment equalized curb weight 88 lb (40 kilograms) below that of its predecessor. A choice of two muscular, refined and efficient engines -- which both feature new BMW TwinPower turbo technology -- will be available for the new BMW 3 Series Sedan in the US market. In addition to the already successful 6-cylinder N55 engine powering the 335i, customers can also opt for the new turbocharged 4-cylinder (N20) variant in the BMW 328i. This latest-generation engine, initially introduced in the 2012 Z4 sDrive28i, rewards the driver with both a dynamic driving experience and significantly reduced fuel consumption. The innovative 8-speed automatic gearbox -- which is a first in the segment -- opens up a whole new level of driving experience. It can be specified in combination with either the 328i or the 335i and includes the new Auto Start-Stop function. Compact and exceptionally efficient, it allows the new BMW 3 Series to match or outperform models fitted with the standard six-speed manual gearbox in terms of fuel economy. The new 8-speed automatic brings together shift comfort, dynamic performance and efficiency of the highest order, making it the perfect partner for the new sedan's dynamic potential. As components of the BMW EfficientDynamics technology line-up, the Auto Start-Stop function, Brake Energy Regeneration, and need-based operation of ancillary components (including an on-demand air conditioning compressor) also play their part in reducing fuel consumption. Added to which, the new Driving Dynamics Control switch, which allows the driver to choose between Comfort, Sport, Sport + and ECO PRO mode, gives both models the potential to further improve these figures. This ECOPRO mode helps drivers maximize fuel economy through their driving style, thereby enabling them to increase the distance they can travel between visits to the pumps. BMW will add another cutting-edge engine to the line-up in 2012, when the BMW ActiveHybrid 3 will premiere. BMW ConnectedDrive offers an unmatched combination of available driver assistance technology and mobility systems for the new BMW 3 Series range. A new arrival in the premium mid-size segment is the latest-generation full-color Head-Up Display, which projects key information -- in sharp resolution -- onto the windshield so it appears directly in the driver's field of view. Also available is Surround View with Side View and Top View, which gives a bird's-eye perspective of the vehicle and the area around it. In addition, an available Parking Assistant system helps the driver to parallel park. Among the other assistance technology available under the BMW ConnectedDrive banner are the Active Blind Spot Detection System and Lane Departure Warning System with camera-based Collision Warning system, which are offered for the first time in a BMW 3 Series. A Navigation System with Real-Time Traffic Information (RTTI) and an innovative comfort access function allowing hands-free opening of the trunk lid are all included on the options list.

2013 Nissan Pathfinder INTERIOR: Seats
http://www.youcar.tv As previewed in the Pathfinder Concept, one of the biggest changes to the upcoming Pathfinder design is the return to a unibody platform (also utilized on the second generation Pathfinder), which offers numerous benefits including a flat floor for enhanced interior packaging flexibility. Starting with a look at its premium features, the Pathfinder Concept's quiet, comfortable interior includes rich leather-appointed seating surfaces, heated and cooled front seats, heated 2nd row seats, heated steering wheel, power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, Nissan Intelligent Key™ with Push Button Start and multiple user memory settings, and an advanced Bose® Audio System with 13 speakers. The Pathfinder Concept's unique versatility comes to life in the design of the 2nd and 3rd rows. In addition to what is expected to be among the roomiest 2nd rows in its class, it also features exceptional 3rd row access -- thanks to large rear door openings, 5.5 inches of 2nd row seat travel, and forward folding seat design for ease of entry and exit to the 3rd row. The 60/40-split 2nd row features an innovative "child seat mode" allowing forward movement and access to the 3rdrow with a child safety seat remaining securely in place (on the 40 percent split-fold side). "One of the dilemmas facing families with both young children and infants/toddlers is getting the older kids in the 3rd row without having to remove a child seat mounted in the 2nd row. This innovative design solves that issue," explained Castignetti. "Plus, with the extensive 2nd row seat travel, it's easy to adjust legroom or accommodate cargo spontaneously as needed." The 3rd row seat is a 50/50 split folding design, offering added cargo flexibility, and it also reclines for greater passenger comfort. Both the 2nd row and 3rd row seats fold flat for optimal cargo capacity and there is additional under floor storage in the rear cargo area. Thoughtful technology is also found throughout the Pathfinder Concept interior, starting with the instrument panel, which includes an advanced drive-assist display directly in front of the driver -- along with a large multifunction IT display in the center of the dash, Nissan Navigation System with real-time traffic and weather information and Zagat Survey® restaurant guide, Bluetooth® Streaming Audio and RearView Monitor. The Pathfinder Concept also features Nissan's advanced Around View™ Monitor, which shows the driver a virtual 360-degree image of the area around the vehicle. Other technology includes a tri-zone climate control system, Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System, power rear liftgate, iPod® integration, and tri-zone entertainment system with 2nd row headrest-mounted DVD display screens. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) includes an individual tire pressure display and EasyFill Tire Assist -- similar to that introduced on the Nissan Quest --that provides both visual and audible signals to help owners conveniently maintain correct tire pressures without the use of a gauge. A remote engine start function allows the climate control system to warm up or cool down the interior prior to driving.

Fast Autobahn drive with the facelifted 2013 Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI (140hp, 320Nm) and 6-speed DSG transmission. When doing the high speed test we had to cope with headwind, but nevertheless the car doesn't feel too quick at speeds above 150 km/h. You can call it Passat CC Facelift or just New VW CC, but this R-Line package offers a very aggresive look to the CC. Compared to the R-Line package for Sedan and Variant this one looks a lot sportier than the standard trim. These 19 inch wheels are coming from the Golf/Scirocco R.
