( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Volkswagen Golf GTI is one of the best and fastest all-around small cars that you can buy today. But it needs all-wheel-drive, more power, and better suspension. The all new 2012 Golf R has all that and more. So which Golf hot-hatch is better?

( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2011 Cadillac Escalade ESV Premium is one of the biggest cars you can buy in America. It certainly represents old school luxury with its 22 inch wheel and 5 TV screens. The Lexus CT200h gets great gas milage and represents new luxury with a hybrid drive that combines both a gas engine and an electric motor . So which one of these cars is the future of luxury transportation?

The Mazda 2 is also all about fun with a splash of utility in the mix. But which one is more fun when you are on a budget?

2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI Mark VII 0-60 Quick Take 0-60 MPH Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI Mark VII is a huge improvement over the current VW GTI. It's such a huge step forward that we can hardly wait for the new Golf GTI. Unlike car buyers in Europe, who can buy the car this year, the hottest and newest Golf GTI won't come to the United States until 2014 as a 2015 model year car. In another fun and informative TFLcar review Nicole and Roman get a chance to drive the new hot 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI Mark VII in Napa, Valley, California. Of course as this is a TFLcar review they also test the the Euro Spec Golf GTI from 0-60 MPH. So how fast is the 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI Mark VII? Watch the video to find out. 2012 Volkswagen Golf R versus Golf GTI Nose to Tush Drag Race
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Golf R is the most powerful Golf ever built with a 256 horsepower turbo-charged engine and all-wheel-drive it should cream the 2012 front-wheel-drive Golf GTI (which puts out only 200 horsepower) in a straight-line drag race. So what do you think happens when we pit the two Golf's against each other in this impromptu drag race?

Volkswagen Golf GTi review - What Car?
Read the What Car? Volkswagen Golf GTI review http://bit.ly/wXlVpG The VW Golf GTI combines strong performance, agile handling and precise steering with impressive refinement and a supple ride. It's also practical enough for everyday use and is very classy inside. Some rivals are faster, the GTI is expensive to buy and it doesn't look as striking as its cheaper in-house rival, the Scirocco coupe. 2012 Volkswagen GTI DSG Test Dive & Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/volkswagen/gti/2012/?id=32972 The 2012 Volkswagen GTI is just about the most fun you can have in a car for around $25,000. A compact performance car is judged based on its engine. And the GTI has one of the best all-around 4-cylinder engines in the world. In fact this engine powers numerous Volkswagen and Audi vehicles. But the 2012 Volkswagen GTI is not just a car with a wonderful engine; the GTI is also a good looking car that is well balanced, and quite comfortable. In fact you can get the Volkswagen GTI in both a 2-door and 4-door hatchback body style. The base price is $23,995 with the top of the line Autobahn model costing $31,695. The 2012 Volkswagen GTI is powered by a direct injection turbocharged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft. of torque. While this may not seem like a ton of power, it is more than enough for the everyday driver. Power is transmitted through a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels. The automatic transmission is called the DSG which stands for Direct-Shift Gearbox. This double clutch electronically controlled transmission can execute a shift in mere milliseconds. This helps performance figures such as 0-60 MPH as well as adding to the fuel economy of the GTI. The manual transmission model gets 21 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway while the DSG automatic transmission model gets 24 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway. On the inside of the 2012 Volkswagen GTI you have 2 choices when it comes to seating material. There are the cloth seats that are very unique and serve as a tribute to the first GTI from the 1970's. On the other hand you can get your GTI with top sports seats that are finished in leather and provide a comfortable yet firm feel. The rest of the interior of the 2012 Volkswagen GTI is accented here and there with awesome red stitching on the shift boot and steering wheel. Speaking of the steering wheel; this flat bottom unit has integrated controls for the stereo. The pedals are also very sporty and race inspired. The GTI also features a ton of technology built in. On the outside the daytime LED running lights are a standard safety feature that not only looks great but also makes you more visible to oncoming traffic. Bluetooth comes standard on the GTI and you can upgrade to a touch-screen navigation unit. On the safety front the GTI sports 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and an Intelligent Crash Response System. The attention to safety has resulted in the Volkswagen GTI being picked as a 2012 Top Safety Pick by the IIHS. 2011 Volkswagen GTI DSG Walkaround, Exhaust, Review, Test Drive
Both transmissions are fantastic for this car, if I had to choose I would flip a coin between the two. Although, I do personally like the 4-door body style more. "The 2011 Volkswagen GTI may not be top dog when it comes to performance numbers, but overall it's one of our top picks when it comes to sporty hatchbacks." (Edmunds.com)

Volkswagen Golf GTI 35 Edition - Are you GTI Enought ? First Official Promo
http://www.autoblog.gr/2011/05/31/video-golf-gti-35-edition-are-you-gti-eno ugh/ Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 35 World debut at Wörthersee: 235 PS Golf GTI Edition 35 offers pure dynamic performance Volkswagen celebrates 35 years of the GTI with 247 km/h special edition Golf GTI Edition 35 has powerful 6 kg/PS and economical 8.1 l/100 km Wolfsburg / Reifnitz, 31 May 2011 -- 35 years of the Golf GTI! Volkswagen is celebrating the anniversary of this icon with the new Golf GTI Edition 35. 173 kW / 235 PS of power (25 PS more than the normal GTI) and a fast 247 km/h top speed; 6 kg/PS power density. It will be a collector's item from day one -- arriving right on the 35th anniversary of the GTI legend. Back in the summer of 1976 -- when the very first production GTI was launched -- no one ever would have surmised what Volkswagen had just unleashed. No one. Not even Volkswagen itself. Some things simply cannot be planned -- icons included. And so the first Golf GTI surprised everyone: buyers, competitors, the carmaker and -- on the Autobahn -- all those drivers of other sports cars and luxury saloons who had never heard of such a thing from Volkswagen, but were now being passed by it. Since then, the GTI advanced to become the most successful compact sports car in automotive history. 5,000 GTIs were planned -- yet the GTI of our day is irrepressibly approaching the production milestone of 2 million units built! 6.6 seconds for the sprint. Now, the new Golf GTI Edition 35 is proving the potential of this automobile. As always, it has front-wheel drive and offers nonstop road grip thanks to its XDS electronic differential lock. The Volkswagen converts each and every one of its maximum of 300 Newton metres of torque (2,200 to 5,500 rpm) into forward propulsion. After just 6.6 seconds, the Golf GTI Edition 35 passes the 100 km/h mark. No other GTI before it has been this dynamic. An optional 6-speed DSG can shift gears in fractions of a second. The engine of the Golf GTI Edition 35 235 PS and 300 Nm. When 173 kW / 235 PS of power (+ 25 PS compared to the normal GTI; maximum power from 5,500 to 6,300 rpm) and a torque of 300 Nm (+ 20 Nm; maximum torque from 2,200 to 5,500 rpm) act on the car with a kerb weight of 1,400 kg, this unleashes vehicle dynamics that match those of a purebred sports car in any measure of performance. Its acceleration (0-100 km/h in 6.6 s) and top speed (247 km/h) are the usual statistical measures, but much more important and typical of this GTI is its relentless torque in every speed range. Step into the GTI, adjust the ergonomically fitting sport seats and the sport steering wheel, turn on the ignition (by key or optionally by button press) and a storm breaks loose. Acoustically too: the GTI already has a full sporty sound, but new tuning of the sound actuator makes it even sportier. Clearly, to discover the true potential of the GTI machine, each owner of the new Golf GTI Edition 35 should really visit -- at least once and with all due respect -- the North Loop of the Nürburgring race course. 1,984 cm3 displacement. The engine employed in the Golf GTI Edition 35 is a turbocharged petrol direct-injection engine of the EA113 engine series. Those of you who are now thinking of the all-wheel drive Golf R are on the right track. The two vehicles share the same base engine. The 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine builds up its propulsive power via a turbocharger with intercooling. The GTI engine is controlled by a fully electronic engine management system with E-Gas. The engine's pistons are equipped with reinforced gudgeon pins. The connecting rod was also designed with greater strength, so that it can reliably transfer high torque to the crankshaft. The cylinder block was reinforced to handle the extremely high engine forces that occur. 8.0 l/100 km with DSG. Despite all of its dynamic performance, the Golf GTI Edition 35 is also efficient at combusting its preferred fuel (Super, 95 ROZ). The new GTI with manual gearbox offers a respectable combined fuel consumption of 8.1 litres per 100 km (equivalent to 189 g/km CO2). In the DSG version, these two values are improved to 8.0 l/100 km and 185 g/km CO2.
