First drive review: 2012 Volkswagen Golf GTI versus 2012 Golf R

( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Volkswagen Golf GTI is one of the best and fastest all-around small cars that you can buy today. But it needs all-wheel-drive, more power, and better suspension. The all new 2012 Golf R has all that and more. So which Golf hot-hatch is better?

Old versus New Luxury: 2011 Cadillac Escalade vs. the Lexus CT200h hybrid mashup review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2011 Cadillac Escalade ESV Premium is one of the biggest cars you can buy in America. It certainly represents old school luxury with its 22 inch wheel and 5 TV screens. The Lexus CT200h gets great gas milage and represents new luxury with a hybrid drive that combines both a gas engine and an electric motor . So which one of these cars is the future of luxury transportation?

2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI Mark VII 0-60 Quick Take 0-60 MPH Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI Mark VII is a huge improvement over the current VW GTI. It's such a huge step forward that we can hardly wait for the new Golf GTI. Unlike car buyers in Europe, who can buy the car this year, the hottest and newest Golf GTI won't come to the United States until 2014 as a 2015 model year car. In another fun and informative TFLcar review Nicole and Roman get a chance to drive the new hot 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI Mark VII in Napa, Valley, California. Of course as this is a TFLcar review they also test the the Euro Spec Golf GTI from 0-60 MPH. So how fast is the 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI Mark VII? Watch the video to find out. 2010 Mazdaspeed3 vs. Volkswagen GTI review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The Mazdaspped3 and the Volkswagen GTI are about as hot as hot hatchbacks get. Both have what it takes to make you a winner on the road and on the track, but which one is the better car? That's the question that we ask and answer in this review of two of the hottest and most affordable cars on the road.

VW Golf R vs MINI Cooper S Coupe 0-60 MPH mile high Mashup Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Volkswagen Golf R is the fastest, most powerful and best handling VW Golf you can buy. Unlike the VW GTI it has all-wheel-drive and more powerful 256 horsepower turbo-charged engine. The 2012 MINI Cooper S Coupe might just be the best handling and fastest MINI in the land but unlike the Golf R it is front wheel drive. It also has a turbo charged engine but it has only two doors and it barely seats two so it certainly doesn't compete with the Golf R....or does it. In another fun and unique TFLcar Mashup we compare apples to oranges to see which car is the better ride.

Volkswagen Golf GTi review - What Car?
Read the What Car? Volkswagen Golf GTI review http://bit.ly/wXlVpG The VW Golf GTI combines strong performance, agile handling and precise steering with impressive refinement and a supple ride. It's also practical enough for everyday use and is very classy inside. Some rivals are faster, the GTI is expensive to buy and it doesn't look as striking as its cheaper in-house rival, the Scirocco coupe. 2012 Volkswagen GTI DSG Test Dive & Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/volkswagen/gti/2012/?id=32972 The 2012 Volkswagen GTI is just about the most fun you can have in a car for around $25,000. A compact performance car is judged based on its engine. And the GTI has one of the best all-around 4-cylinder engines in the world. In fact this engine powers numerous Volkswagen and Audi vehicles. But the 2012 Volkswagen GTI is not just a car with a wonderful engine; the GTI is also a good looking car that is well balanced, and quite comfortable. In fact you can get the Volkswagen GTI in both a 2-door and 4-door hatchback body style. The base price is $23,995 with the top of the line Autobahn model costing $31,695. The 2012 Volkswagen GTI is powered by a direct injection turbocharged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft. of torque. While this may not seem like a ton of power, it is more than enough for the everyday driver. Power is transmitted through a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels. The automatic transmission is called the DSG which stands for Direct-Shift Gearbox. This double clutch electronically controlled transmission can execute a shift in mere milliseconds. This helps performance figures such as 0-60 MPH as well as adding to the fuel economy of the GTI. The manual transmission model gets 21 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway while the DSG automatic transmission model gets 24 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway. On the inside of the 2012 Volkswagen GTI you have 2 choices when it comes to seating material. There are the cloth seats that are very unique and serve as a tribute to the first GTI from the 1970's. On the other hand you can get your GTI with top sports seats that are finished in leather and provide a comfortable yet firm feel. The rest of the interior of the 2012 Volkswagen GTI is accented here and there with awesome red stitching on the shift boot and steering wheel. Speaking of the steering wheel; this flat bottom unit has integrated controls for the stereo. The pedals are also very sporty and race inspired. The GTI also features a ton of technology built in. On the outside the daytime LED running lights are a standard safety feature that not only looks great but also makes you more visible to oncoming traffic. Bluetooth comes standard on the GTI and you can upgrade to a touch-screen navigation unit. On the safety front the GTI sports 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and an Intelligent Crash Response System. The attention to safety has resulted in the Volkswagen GTI being picked as a 2012 Top Safety Pick by the IIHS. Volkswagen Golf R acceleration, sound, exterior
Music: Antony Raijekov. Deep Blue, from the album Jazz U. The Golf R. The new Golf R32, smaller engine, two cylinders less, but still faster than the old V6. Shot with a 1D Mk IV, a 24-70 2.8 and a 16-35 2.8. Fast, fun, great sound from the engine, Exhaust and the turbo. Starts with a few shots of the exterior, then Exhaust, acceleration from 0-100 kph and then a "fly by".

2011 Volkswagen GTI DSG Walkaround, Exhaust, Review, Test Drive
Both transmissions are fantastic for this car, if I had to choose I would flip a coin between the two. Although, I do personally like the 4-door body style more. "The 2011 Volkswagen GTI may not be top dog when it comes to performance numbers, but overall it's one of our top picks when it comes to sporty hatchbacks." (Edmunds.com)
