393 Cleveland Stroker - First Start
This is the first start up of a 393 Cleveland Stroker that I've been meticulously building over the last several months. It's been a great learning experience for me as I was able to not only plan and assemble the components for the engine, but design and build the test stand as well.
Here are the specs for this engine:
Edelbrock dual plane aluminum intake manifold -- For run in only, switching to Weiand X-celerator 2V that has been converted to FI for later.
Edelbrock Alloy heads -- CNC Ported by Cam Research in Englewood, CO
1.73:1 ratio Harland Sharp Rocker Arms
Probe 393C stroker kit (10669-030-PS-F393C):
4340 Forged steel crank, 3.85" stroke, Nitride Hardened
Probe H-beam forged steel rods, 5.956 long
Probe forged pistons, 16cc dish, 2618-T61 Aluminum, Full Floating

Threw slicks on my stang to see if i could get traction... still spins 1st and 2nd...
slick size is 27x11.50-15
my second gear syncros is shot little hard to get it to go in gear.
408 Cleveland stroker 7000rpm dyno run Mustang
Here is one of 408 Cleveland strokers being Dyno tuned. This combination made 570 hp @ 6100 rpms and 500 ft/lbs @ 5400. It had over 480 ft/lbs from 4600-6200. It uses a set of AFD heads from australia, the chamers are so effecient it only needs 28* timing. WWW.TIMZEPPENGINES.COM
