1964 Ford Falcon Engine Swap Part 2
Technically, I don't believe, "parts is parts." There are many cases that you get what you pay for, you just need to be prepared to accept the consequences for buying junk.
I'm just showing off some of the parts that I bought for the Falcon. I got a little baby Holley 4BBL, an HEI distributor, roller tipped rockers and a few other things. It looks like I'm going to start pulling the engine next weekend.
Thanks for watching.

Cradle Coast Rally 2012. V8 XE Ford Falcon. Hellyer Gorge 1
Cradle Coast Rally was a short one day rally held on the last weekend in February 2012. Some classic stages including Savage River and Hellyer Gorge which is also a stage in Targa Tasmania. The run was not 100% smooth for us with fuel issues due to the heat and a dropped lifter for the biggest stage of the event, but we have FINALLY put some better rubber on the wheels and upgraded the brakes from the factory ones we had run at every event till now. Loved the new Yokohama Advan Neova tyres and many thanks to Yokohama and Legana Tyres and More for those. Again many thanks to Craig "Wheelie" Milich for being there when we needed him and creating a car for us that never under-steered, unlike the made up silver Merc with a huge Chev engine as shown here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YiCkoMNB-s&feature=g-all-u&context=G257800cFAAAAAAAAAAA This is a good example of a car that does not handle well. I have turned down driving lessons offered to me by this driver, this footage and comparative times I think make it clear why.
1964 Ford Falcon Dragcar
This was a car built by Barret auto care (Barret, Greg, Danny, Leslie and others).
This was the first time the car had been run, and was foiled by a loose distributor cap shortly after launch. It coasted to the finish line from about the 1/8th mile mark. The reason for the sissy burnout is that the car was also missing reverse gear at the time.
Unfortunately, they were not able to run the car again, as it was auctioned later that night as part of The discovery channel's "Texas Car Wars" Series.

Masters Pre 66 Touring Cars Oulton Park 2012
This is footage of the Pre-1966 Touring Cars race which was part of the Masters Historic Festival at Oulton Park held on the 17th of March 2012. This was the first meeting of 2012 for The Masters Historic Racing series. The footage is shot as the cars go through Brittens over Hill Top, through Hislops Chicane and on up Clay Hill. There was a varied field of Minis, Ford Cortinas, Falcons and Mustangs. The eventual winner was Leo Voyazides in the red and gold Ford Falcon.
1964 Ford Faclon Futura "Garage Find"
This "garage find" Falcon was just acquired by a friend of mine - admittedly, its not some sough after hot rod - but the extremely nice, original condition it was found in after being garaged for 27 years is rare these days. Almost 50 years old! After only minor maintenance and a gas tank flush, this car is back on the road for rare occasions. He currently is debating wether to keep the car or pass it along to someone who may enjoy it even more....
