Here's an easy bolt-on video for all the Sporties out there..

custom build ensues..
Nightster RSD Vintage Apes
Here is an update on the last video of my Nightster, added Roland Sands
Vintage Apes with RSD Renthal grips. Relocated the indicators, removed the
front fender & the upper & lower belt guards. Maybe during the winter I
will try to relocate the coil, ignition, speedo & do a tank lift.....

My "throne", the Harley Nightster
Here's the latest mods on my 2008 Harley Sportster (sorry if the bike's
dirty, I've been too busy messin with it to clean it up). I'm working on
turning this bike into a bobber, chopping off crap and keeping the mods
cheap and functional. Performance mods are on the way, when I get tired of
my buddy leaving my ass 'cause he got a race tuner, high flow intake and Exhaust. Suck my nuts Morris, haha!
You'll get yours one day! :
-Removed stupid looking plastic wiring harness, giving the bike a more
simple, open look
-Relocated ignition coil via homemade bracket
-Relocated ignition via homemade bracket
-Removed sprocket cover
-Removed both belt guards
-Installed forward controls
-Made brackets to lift tank about 2 inches
-Re-routed some wiring and ran them under the tank, cleaning up the overall
Hopefully I can get a paint job done some time, I've got some chipping goin
*Music by The Meteors: "Wrecking Crew"
If you run your mouth about how Harley's suck or crotch rockets are
whatever, I will probably delete your ignorant ass comment. All
motorcycles are welcome in my domain, so don't come in here talkin crap
just to start stuff.
One Nightster In Vegas ( BOBBED )
These are the most recent pics. Bike comes out the shop this week. I will
attempt to get this video out within a week.
There is a Fuel Pack that wasn't mentioned. The ECM was placed right in
fron of the rear fender behind the oil tank. The seat rides great. After I
didn't realize I had to much tension on the spring. The guy who made that
bracket weighed a lot more than me so when I turned down the dial to my
weight...oooohhh baby.. I love that adjustable shock. The coil was placed
between the two rockerboxes with the ignition mounted underneath. Sorry
the vid suck as it shows no justice on the paint job. Paint is still flat,
but textured and with peal. It looks awsome in the sunlight. The original
black denim is on hold as I am hoping to do another paint job this summer.
there are no risers on the bars.
The Exhaust does sound real raw when
you roll off the throttle, that's what you get when you remove the baffles
on vance and hines short shots.
the struts are 10" eye to eye
Great pics by clicking on the link below. It may answer several questions.
Here are some coil, speedo, seat, and headlight mounting pics that may help
some, along with other photos. Oh yeah and I noticed on ebay there's a guy
selling real good solid struts for about $39 and 10" long made out of cold
forged solid steel or something. Search "Sportster Struts"
1977 Hardtail Sportster Bobber "BUILD VIDEO"
GREAT VIDEO by Straight Pipe Productions. My personal project, a 1977
Ironhead sportster transformed into a hardtail bobber. Bike took me on and
off..... 3 years to build. 21" front wheel, 16" rear wheel Sanatee rear
hard tail section, z bars, 1966 pontiac gto parking lamp converted to brake
light, and a PAINT GUN converted to a brake pedal. Custom gold paint with
gold flake and airbrushing. Stainless steel oil bag and battery box. Full
paint shop footage also!!!!!
