1975 MERCURY COUGAR XR7 -- MORE PLUSH THAN THE THUNDERBIRD
Now here's a keeper. This factory-new conditioned Cougar XR7 finished in
Bronze Gold Diamond Fire paint is the only Cougar model produced this year
and only in hardtop form. The XR7 was meant to be an upgrade from the
personal luxury car Thunderbird and it was. The XR7 was powered by a by a
V8, 351 cid / 148 - 150 hp. engine. Though the T-Bird had a V8, 460 cid /
194 hp., by far a larger engine, the Cougar offered a plush interior. Most
likely this trend was to keep the loyal Cougar fans on board. I supposed
it worked, for Cougars outsold T-Bird by ten thousand units this year with
a total of 62,987. The XR7 had a suggested retail price of $5,218. I
think this XR7 example is clean and like new and noticed all of the
enrichment of it's looks both outside and inside. I always admired those
vinyl landau roofs and opera windows. It's truly a beautiful Merc. Thanks
very much for viewing this 1975 Cougar XR7.
Mitch Allread: Don't Call it a Rat Rod... - /BIG MUSCLE
It packs a 400 hp diesel out of a Ford F-350, a Dana 80 rear-end, and a
look and feel that would make Max Rockatansky feel right at home. This is
Mitch Allread's custom fabricated creation and it is, without a doubt, one
of the coolest things on the road today. This is a machine that transcends
the traditional hot rod formula by breaking down borders and setting its
Whereas most hot-rods are built by custom shops utilizing parts from mail
order catalogs, Mitch took a different approach and fabricated just about
everything on his ride by hand. Calling this a rat-rod would be an insult -
a work of art however... that'd be just fine.

Vinyl Top Installation - '68 Cougar
In this video, we watch as a professional installs a vinyl top on a 1968
Mercury Cougar. After observing the process, we think this is a job that
the average do-it-yourself-er can handle. It does require a certain amount
of finesse, but not as much as a headliner installation requires (see our
other video on that subject).
This premium quality vinyl top can be found on our website here:

1974 Cadillac Sedan de Ville 472 V8 Very Original
I thought you might like a look at this well-preserved 1974 Cadillac Sedan
de Ville. This really was quite a luxury car in it's day. It's still
sporting the original interior in excellent condition and it's powered by
the numbers matching 472 V8. Everything on this car works and it's ready
to cruise. Thanks for taking a look!

Driving Blown 454 32 Ford Coupe Hotrod
Driving home from a cruise in. 1932 Ford 3 Window Fiberglass Coupe. Bored
.030 454 Chevy. Yeah I know, a Chevy in a Ford just ain't right but I love
big block Chevies but also love the look of an old Ford. It has a Ford 9"
with spool which I want to switch out to a posi unit this winter, 4 wheel
disc brakes, rack & pinon steering, 4 bar with coil over suspension,
Edelbrock carbs, GMC 671 blower with Weiand drive and a turbo 400 trans. It's always driven and never
trailered. It even has a trailer hitch on the back. Lots of road chips and
nicks but it was bought to be enjoyed and driven, it even has air
conditioning and a CD player for added creature comforts.
Was a lifelong dream to own one just like the models I used to build when I
was a wee lad but never in my wildest dreams ever thought I'd actually own
one. At 57 I still can't help but have a big grin while cruising down the
road, especially when pulling up beside some young fella in one of the
newer imports at a redlight. Can almost hear them thinking when seeing all
motor setting beside them... Holy Sh%$ ....... They can sure get gobs of
HP and great 1/4 mile times from new technology but it's hard to beat
ground pounding old school horsepower that rattles the
windows when idling thru town.
