The Aerolithe project uses chassis 57104, the earliest known Type 57 chassis, with matching transmission and rear end. The body will be completed in-house and will be built to exact standards and patterns of the original. The craftsmen of the Guild are creating the body using electron (magnesium) which is one of the lightest metals but poses many problems including combustibility. How To Detail Wash Clay Bar Buff Degrease Car Restoration ~ Restore Paint Engine Auto Detailing Video http://www.1OwnerCarGuy.com This is a combined video of the complete exterior detail process we did on this 1972 Buick Centurion Convertible. First we start with giving the car a good wash to get all the years of of crap off of it. Then we go ahead and degrease the engine and get it all power washed down. Also degreasing the tires and wheel wells and scubbing them and hitting them with the pressure washer. Then the next step is to clay bar that car to give it a nice smooth surface on the paint. The claying is a very easy process you just have to make sure to keep the paint wet while you are doing it. When you are done with the clay bar you need to wash the car and give it a good scrubbing. Once the car is dry you can start the buffing process. On a car like this we like to do a two stage process. The first stage we use a more gritty compound and a wool pad on a buffer. This takes all the oxidization off of the top surface and brings the true color back out in the paint. We then use a smoother wax compound and a foam pad to really give the paint a wet look. You can see the difference at the end by how big of a difference this makes. It really doesn't take that long and can make all the difference in the world. Wolseley classic pre-war car restoration 14/56 Part 1
Here is the first of many parts of the restoration of a 1937 Wolseley 14/56, for those who can't envisage the model, it's the same type used in the early episodes of the British television series Foyle's War. In this session, we try to make sense of some of the parts stored in boxes and containers, and partially re-assemble some of the parts on the original motor.

My favourite cars: Demarcay Cyclecar Demarcay gebaut 1922 von Baron Edmond de Marcay. Mit einem Motor von Anzani 1000 ccm 2 Zylinder mit Luftkühlung. Mit einem identischen Motor, allerdings mit einem weiteren Zylinder aufgesetzt, als 3 - Zylinder, hat Louis Blériot 1909 als erster den Ärmelkanal überflogen. Es wurden von Demarcy nur wenige Autos gebaut. Es ist nicht bekannt, ob ein weiteres Modell die Zeit überlebt hat. Baron de Marcay baute darüber hinaus Luftschiffe und Flugzeuge. Cyclecar Demarcay built in 1922 by Baron Edmond de Marcay. With an Anzani engine of 1000 cc 2-cylinder with air cooling. Fitted with an identical engine, but with another cylinder, as 3 - cylinder has flown over Louis Blériot in 1909 as first the English Channel. It was built by Demarcy few cars.
