75 chevy Vega small block 400ci
First pass at sac raceway it went 10.47 with a 1.58 60 foot all stock
suspention with traction bars and a 8 inch slick.the car had no cage and
with all the stock brown plaid interior and lap belts..........
1972 Vega Wagon 1st Drive
Just got my 1972 Vega Wagon going after a lot of work. Currently running
open headers. It has a small block 350 and a TH350 Transmission. 12-bolt
rear-end and 5 lug front end conversion.
1974 Vega Estate Wagon.MOV
1974 Vega Estate Wagon. Just got it out of storage for the summer. Runs
great! The engine is a gen 1 350 with 300 HP. Transmission is a 700R4. The
rear end is an S-10 with 373 gears. Very driveable car. Looks stock inside
an out except for the rims.
72 Vega Wagon GT
My 72 Vega Wagon GT's first trial run. Full blown drag car. Alumin tubbed,
narrowed 12" Chevy rearend, 327 small block chevy bored 30 over beast, 350
turbo trans with manual valve body,
hurst lightning rod shifter, partial rollcage, MSD Ignition System,
line-loc, 8 gallon fuel cell. Custom built by me and my dad for the last
four years, all tubbing, aluminum, frame rails, and custom fab done in our

Valley NETO (North East Timing Organization) meet in October 2008. The car
is just like Hennebery ran it in the 1970's but has a mild 327 engine. In
the old days the car ran 10.60's @125+ with a destroked 327 @ 318 cu in.
Now with a mild 327 the car runs 11.80's @ 111. Plans for a better engine
in 2009 are in the works.
Big Block Chevy Vega Wagon Wheelie
A little too much launch RPM resulted in the car hitting the wheelie bars
and staying there. I lifted to get the front end back down. I then got
right back on it and it jacked the front end right back up. I lifted again
and aborted the run. 4,000rpm launch which is still a full 1,000rpm BELOW
the engines peak torque! Crushed 4 primary header tubes on this pass.
72 vega gt wagon_ refurbished
Our hugger orange 72 chevy vega GT wagon, WE have been working long and fun
to get it to this point . It has a 350 smallblock with a 200r4 trans.
monza 10 bolt V-8 rear end. With 2.92 gears. Its a real gas saver! Painted
hugger orange ,& everything has been done to make her look new, like she
would have come from the factory ,with a V/8 to boot! very fun project that
took about 4 years.

CLEAN TITLED CAR NEEDS MINOR PAINT AND BODY WORK.
The motor is a destroked 400 sbc. (377") Cast 350 crank, forged Eagle rods
w/ ARP cap screws. I beam rods with main studs.brand new 7 qt. milodon low
pro oil pan, TRW forged flat top pistons rings gapped for mild Nitrous (250), ARP head studs, Edelbrock Performer
RPM aluminum cylinder heads milled down to 65cc combustion chambers (10.8:1
compression), 2.02/1.6 SS swirl polished valves, screw in studs w/ guide
plates, Holley Strip Dominator single plane intake manifold, Holley 750 vac
secondary dual feed carb, Comp 306s solid flat tappet cam, comp cams solid
lifters, Aluminum long proform water pump, Fluidamper harmonic balancer,
aluminum radiator, tilton type mini starter, Flex-a-lite Black Magic elect
fan, Holley mechanical 160GPH fuel pump, all steel braided fuel line AN
style fuel system, -10 from tank to pump and -8 out of pump to red blue
Russell regulator w/ gauge and -6 to dual feed on carb, trans is a TH350 w/
TCI manual valve body and full TCI rebuild kit rebuilt by Pat Shelly out of
Sac. less than 500 miles on the trans and about 10 drag strip passes. It
has a finned aluminum deep sump tranny pan. 4000 stall Redneck Racing
converter, It has an aluminum drive shaft and the R180 differential has
been changed to the welded up R200 w/ 3.70 gears. The Harwood scoop is
actually the upper half of a Harwood snorkel cut down and turned around to
make that hood. It has an Autometer 5" tach w/shift light, The shifter is a
B&M Megashifter that is detent/ratchet type. The seats are stock original
seats and there is black carpet front to back with racing harness type seat
belts for the driver & passenger. It starts by a button on the dash. a roll
cage that was in it at one time. There is no heater at all in the car. The
fiberglass around the scoop is cracking a little. The weld wheels on it are
6 months old. I think the car has 11.80's in it possibly.
