Porsche 993 and Boxster "Racing" at Eagles Canyon PCA

This is a couple of laps where I am working hard to catch fellow NVR-E-NUF Member, John, in his Black and Orange Porsche Boxster. We are running at Eagles Canyon, North of Decatur, Texas. We are at Eagles Canyon during a Mavericks Region Porsche Club of America DE event March 8/9 2008. We also catch up with a Yellow Cayman. What a Great Way to cars, driving fast and North Texas.

Porsche 993 Hits the Tire Barrier at MSR during PCA Event
Here is an exciting ride courtesy my Son during a the Mavericks Region DE at MSR Cresson, Texas. Bryce is going through the transition from the old track to the new track and looses it. The result is a trip to the tire barrier.... And some repairs needed on the my 993. Work underway and car should be back on the track in October. What a way to learn a lesson..... Good news is sheet metal, control arms and pride were the only things hurt in the incident.

PCA Club Racing: Vintage class introduced 25 years after first race
PCA Club Racing had its first race in 1992, spurred at the insistence of Potomac Region’s Alan Friedman, who felt PCA could expand its driving programs to satisfy members with vast track experience ready to move up the ladder. Twenty-five years later, the racing program added a new class catering to vintage racers. We commemorated the occasion — and PCA Club Racing's 25th anniversary — by visiting Summit Point Motorsports Park to observe vintage air-cooled Porsches competing in the new class for the first time, and to gauge how PCA’s club racing culture has evolved over the years. In the video above, we speak with Friedman and several other drivers, some who’ve raced with PCA since the beginning and others who are new this year. Of course, be sure to read Ted West’s “Silver Jubilation” in the December 2016 Porsche Panorama for the full, in-depth story. Porsche Club of America Werks Reunion 2016
In its third year, Porsche Club of America’s Werks Reunion Porsche show stunned crowds of spectators with more than 1,000 Porsches parked on the Rancho Cañada Golf Club greens and fairways. Let’s break down the numbers: 153 concours Porsches; 595 parked in the display corral; more than a dozen parked in the special interest and vendor areas; and more than 1,200 spectator cars also parked on the back fairway. If you love cars and wanted to see the largest gathering of Porsches during Monterey Car Week in California’s Monterey Peninsula, it was the place to be. Watch the video above to see what you missed — or relive the day if you just can’t get enough.
