YAMAHA R1 RACES PORSCHE GTS3 ON SNOW/ICE (258KM/H) (160MPH!!)
EXTREME, 258 KM/H ON ICE, THE FINAL FIGHT AND CRASH: Lap times, heavy
crashes, extreme riding on ice, awesome images, here is the final result of
our match between a Porsche GT3RS (450 HP) and a Yamaha 1000 R1 (180 HP) on
the replica (scale one) of the legendary 5.8 km Paul Ricard Track in
Lapland by minus 25 degrees To win, the Porsche had 4 wheels, 450 horsepower and 2320 spikes.
The R1 was counting on its lightness, its sharpest, 470 spikes and the
"balls" of Serge Nuques to lean it to the maximum angle. The other equally
tight match was between a Mitsubishi Evo 9 against a Yamaha 450 WRF

Daytona High Speed Crash - Porsche GT3
A Porsche GT3 crashes at Daytona International Speedway following a rear
right tire blowout at 150+ MPH coming out of NASCAR Turn #4. Car
immediately veered out of control and crashed into inside wall with massive
damage. The Sparco racing seats, Schroth harnesses, Hans device and helmet
contributed to my walking away with minor injuries. Incident occurred at
PBOC HPDE October 2012.
Here's what happened:
Coming out of NASCAR turn #4 (the same turn that that took Dale Earnhardt's
life), I was accelerating past 150 MPH when I felt a shudder in the rear of
the car followed by an immediate strong bumping / vibration throughout the
car. While I immediately lifted from the accelerator, the blowout of my
right rear tire (Hoosier R6's) caused the car to immediately veer to the
left (just after passing one car and just prior to reaching a second car).
As the car headed towards the inside wall, it was in an out of control
spin. After making one complete spin, the car crashed into the inside wall
on the front left corner of the car and then ricocheted back against the
wall on the rear left corner of the car -- spinning around a couple more
times before coming to a stop.

Cayman S Sqirrelly turn 2 Laguna Seca
Cayman S at Hooked On Driving event at Laguna Seca 11-7-12. On stock
springs and dampers, Nitto NT01's and RSS sway bars, no HP mods besides
Borla Exhaust that got me meatballed
(over 92 db) when using 3rd gear through turn 6 so I'm slow through there
in 4th but get to play for the day. Best lap this session was 1:46.16.
