Steve Meade inspired car audio build...this is T-ball compared to to SMD
I built this system a year back after watching meade916 and joining SMD. I also started building systems for friends and family. This is T-Ball compared to what Steve Meade does but I'm working on it. Reppin' Nor Cal all the way.

ALARMING SOUNDS - BASS Sets off Building Burglar Alarm - SMD Tahoe 4 18's 30,000 Watts
Tremendous BASS 89 - System hits so damn hard it set off the building (next
door) burglar alarm off......also, for those that are new, i did a mini
system tour so you can see whats all in this Tahoe. The list is also at
the beginning of the video. You might have to pause it to read it all.
Anyway one of my biggest goals with this ride was to have one of the
loudest systems with as 5 seat vehicle around......but also, its important
to me my ride looks good to. I think i achieved my goal, well
almost..........its NEVER completely done, i have more to do as i type!
Thanks for watching!
Towering 8 Foot Tall Towers Update 17 - Polyfil Mids Highs and Port installed
UPDATE 17 - Almost finished. Today i installed some Polyfil in the
midrange chambers (lined the walls), installed the Mids, tweets and flared
port. It was looking so pretty i had to post another update.
See the previous 16 video's to understand how this all came to be!
the system consists of: 2 crown xti 4000's (bass) and 2 crown 2000w
amps..... The Towers EACH will have (8) 7" Ascendant Audio Carbon mids, (4)
Morel Tweeters and 1 Ascendant Audio SMD 18" woofer. There is 2 18" Passive
radiators in each tower to reinforce the LOW LOWS!
Everything is all Actively crossed over, no passives at all. I use a DBX
drive-rack for that.....

PREVENT CLIPPING! Set AMP GAINS like a Pro! New SMD "Distortion Detector" - Coming SOON!
Ever wonder how to set your amp gains properly? Do you just turn them up
till its loud enough for you and call it done? Do you turn them up all the
way...... or do you tell your boys "my amp is ONLY up 1/4 of the way"? If
you want to set them properly then the only true way to do it previously,
is to us an Oscilloscope or "O-Scope" to detect a clipped signal. Well now
you have a cheaper yet very accurate alternative, the SMD Distortion
Listener (no official name yet). This was developed for and with SMD by
Tony of D'amore Engineering and our other partner and electronic guru Juan.
It was developed for those who dont have access to an O-Scope or even if
they did, they might not understand how to use one. This is a pretty fool
proof way to do it, without the scope. Put it this way, this device might
not just force you to turn your gain down, in some cases you might have
left some of your power "on the table" and werent taking advantage of it.
Use tracks ranging from 0db to -10 db (included on the disc) to set your
gain overlaps according to the way you play your system. Detailed
instructions will be included of course and i promise you this is EASY.
Stay tuned to my channel, there will be updates on availability soon as
well as another cool little device i plan on showing.

SMD Towering Towers! 7' -10" Tall! NEO Magnet Attachment (Build Update 9)
i finally got the rest of the NEO magnets in and since i didnt get to show
in the previous video just how strong they are, nor the finished product, i
figured i would do that here. These are detachable in case i need to move
them around easily or transport. At a towering 7' 10" tall, they will be
hard to fit in smaller rooms. As stated in the video, i am still waiting
on my custom 18" passive radiators (google it if ya' dont know what those
are). Soon i will install them and take the towers for a real test drive.
Once i am happy with how they sound i will finish the body work for good
and get them painted. I am thinking smooth, glossy, piano black. Check
back soon for updates!
