On the upside is the incredible scenery of mountains, lakes and wine country of Northern Calfornia I get to enjoy every week and twisty roads that are perfect for the Saab 99 turbo. I also wanted to capture the outings I enjoy in my Saabs with my 3 children, whiling away the hours hanging out in a beautiful spot, my oldest playing guitar. On August 15th 2010, we drove a MY84 Saab 900 T16 and a MY88 Saab 900 Aero up and over the Stelvio Pass; also formally known as the 'best driving road in the world' (Jeremy Clarkson - Top Gear). Besides the fact that we had to cope with rain, hail and the occasional campervan, it was a delight and the best day ever spent in an old Saab.
