Our 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track is painted Bathurst Black. That's Bathurst as in Bathurst 1000, a 620-mile (1,000-km) race on Australia's Mount Panorama Circuit, a 3.9-mile road course with 23 turns, grades of up to 16 percent and a 1.2-mile-long straightaway named Conrod Straight after a spectacular engine failure endured by racer Frank Kleinig in 1939.
Only heavily modified Ford Falcons and Holden Commodores in the V8 Supercar series (Australia's take on NASCAR) race at Bathurst today, so there's no obvious connection to the unassuming black clearcoat on our V6-equipped 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track.
But as we drive the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, we can imagine Hyundai's chassis engineers fine-tuning the ride and handling of their first rear-wheel-drive coupe on the demanding Bathurst circuit. Probably the cost constraints of building a $30,000 car don't allow for working holidays Down Under. Yet the 2010 Genesis Coupe isn't some soggy two-door version of the Hyundai Genesis luxury sedan.
Instead you'll find a very capable chassis underneath the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track's arresting bodywork. Hyundai's sport coupe might not be track-ready out of the box, but it doesn't wither when we pitch it into Bathurst-like turns on lumpy two-lane roads.
Cooler than Scion? Nissan Cube S Full Test
MORE NISSAN CUBE @ INSIDELINE.COM:
If you want to find out everything you need to know about the 2009 Nissan
Cube S, just pull into In-N-Out Burger.
We're living in a drive-thru world, and the Cube is scaled to suit; a
little self-contained habitat where life comes to you in a warm paper bag
pushed through the driver side window. There in the line at In-N-Out,
you've got a panoramic view of your world — neon colors, flashing lights
and the big board with all your dining options. There's no reason to hurry,
since you're already where you want to be.
Best of all, there's always someplace to put your stuff. A bin, a box, a
shelf, a slot with bungee cords. A sliding, folding, tumbling collection of
seats that you put together like a puzzle. You never fumble around when
you're trying to put something down, because the perfect spot always
magically comes to hand.
The fact that the 2009 Nissan Cube S is self-propelled is just a kind of
GM Fixes Solstice? Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe
MORE SOLSTICE COUPE @ INSIDELINE.COM:
Our hopes were high following the debut of the 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe
at the 2008 New York Auto Show last year. We had not forgotten the
ergonomic shortcomings of the Solstice. Nor had its functional limitations
slipped our minds. It was mechanically the same curvaceous Solstice that
had made us swoon in 2006. Only now it had a bitchin' hardtop.
So here we stand again with hearts racing and gaze locked on the 2009
Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe. The GXP offers you 260 horsepower from its turbocharged Ecotec inline-4 and big tires to
put the power to good use, so it's a lot more serious than the standard
Solstice coupe. Its angled roof gives the coupe an angry, menacing stance
unmatched by the roadster. This is the car we secretly want to like. In the
back of our minds, we hope it's different from the 2006 Pontiac Solstice we
lived with for a year in our long-term fleet.
And perhaps it's a measure of the intensity of this hope that our
disappointment is so devastating.
Up to Spec? Hyundai Genesis Coupe R-Spec @ 2009 CAS
MORE CHICAGO AUTO SHOW @ INSIDELINE.COM:
Rear-wheel drive, a six-speed manual transmission, 210 horses from a turbocharged four-cylinder, Brembo brakes
and a limited-slip differential — and it's only $23,750.
If you don't see the appeal of these features and this price, then you
aren't the target buyer for the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe R-Spec.
Hyundai was looking to attract the biggest group of enthusiasts it could
with this version of the Genesis, so it started with the base model,
stripped out a few standard features to reduce costs and save weight, then
added in some of the performance hardware from the top-of-the-line V6
So choosing the R-Spec means no Bluetooth, cruise control or steering-wheel
audio controls. Hyundai also deleted the chrome interior trim and onboard
Once that cost was taken out, features like 19-inch alloy wheels with
Bridgestone Potenza RE050A summer performance tires (225/40R19 front,
245/40R19 rear) could be added back in. The R-Spec also gets a sport
suspension with retuned springs and dampers along with front (25mm) and
rear (22mm) sway bars and a strut tower brace.
The upgraded Brembo brakes feature four-piston fixed calipers at each
wheel, and the ventilated rotors measure 13.4 inches in front and 13 inches
in back. The limited-slip differential is a Torsen unit if you care to
Hyundai didn't strip every feature out of this Genesis coupe. You still get
basic stuff like power windows, keyless entry and air-conditioning. There's
a six-speaker audio system with a dedicated iPod hookup and leather-wrapped
steering wheel, too.

Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T vs Honda Civic Si Coupe: Track Comparison
honda-civic-si-coupe-track-comparison-1172.html Looking for an affordable
sports coupe thats fuel-efficient enough for your daily commute but also
capable of providing some serious fun on the weekend? We put two of the
best options through their paces around our local racing circuit: the new
Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T and the ever-popular Honda Civic Si Coupe. It
was a front-drive vs. rear-drive, turbocharged vs. normally aspirated 4-cylinder
battle. But who won the war?
2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Review
Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! YouTube's largest collection of automotive
variety! In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth
look at the newly refreshed 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T. Keep in mind
that the 2.0T we have here is pretty much the entry level model. As the
other, more loaded trim levels become available, AS WELL AS the 3.8, I will
be doing full presentations on them as well. The new genesis has changed a
ton in some areas and remained the same in others. New wheels, new tail
lamps and front end are the essential exterior changes, while the interior
gets a nice refresh with all new center stack, refreshed gauges, etc. The
BIGGEST difference is the improvement for performance in the 2.0T and the
3.8. The turbo runs a new twin scroll
turbocharger and cranks out a fantastic
274 horsepower and
275 ft/lb torque making the RWD coupe fly to 60 versus the previous model.
3.8 models now run around 348hp and 295 ft/lb torque, but more will be on
that later. During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at
what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance
data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I
will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a
detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a
dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and
unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course
it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion
with rev and Exhaust note with
interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car
designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will
find in depth reviews/tour of automobiles from all over the world,
presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this
gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you
can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is
consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my
presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960
Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of
vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of
the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new,
exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have
built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted
to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be
sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's

The all new 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe: The perfect blend of raw
performance and practicality wrapped into an affordable package gives this

With the video camera strapped to another Genesis Coupe just inches off my
front bumper, I drop into second and hammer on the throttle mid corner to

What happened next could politely be described as the result of an
overzealous action on my part. A less polite description might simply say I
was being stupid.

Redline Review: 2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8
After seven years on the market, Hyundai proves it can build a value
oriented luxury sedan that has the potential to run with the best from
Germany, America, and Japan. For generation two, the 2015 Genesis now
features more distinctive styling, nearly autonomous driving technology,
and updated refinement bringing it closer to its direct rivals. Those of
you who wants a luxury sedan that doesn't follow the norm should stop by
your local Hyundai dealership, but those looking for more sportier dynamics
may find some competing vehicles more to your liking.
