Best Motoring Japan 1996-01 - DC2R punches above its weight class
Just how good is a DC2 Integra Type R? Good enough to take on cars above
its power & weight class. Tsukuba battle vs NA1 NSX, 993 911 Carrera 2, R33
Skyline GTR, JZA80 Supra, FD RX7. Bonus 1.6L class battle featuring Honda
EK4 VTEC Civic hatch and sedan, Mitsubishi Lancer MIVEC MR sedan and Mirage
hatch, Toyota AE111 Trueno 20V 4AGE, Sprinter Marino sedan.
Type R Integra Satin Black with Carbon doors and hood and spoiler front and
rear. 242 hp and 217 nm torque running a B20Vtec all motor engine running
pump fuel 95 octane. Turns out the 1040 kilograms weight was from an
uncalibrated weight machine....I'll update on the weight with pictures or
videos later.....and it has come a long way from Champion White (what
everyone mostly has for a Typical Type R, to an Imola Orange Integra with
Carbon doors, to the current theme of Satin Black done in 2008-2009) Bare
bones Integra without the ABS, Power steering, or speakers or power locks
or windows. Pure driving machine. Even the dash and door cards were
stripped to bare plastics. Fully welded 8 point certified roll cage and
SEAM WELDED body and chassis including some body bracing added via welding.
63 percent front weighted 37 percent rear weight distribution. Using it as
a DAILY RIDE in Thailand.

Spoon full tune: 2L built & stroked B18C, stripped interior, close ratio
box, semi slicks.
Spoon light tune: super close ratio via final drive, street tyres only.
Bozz: B18C turbo, thicker head gasket
with bolt on turbo kit, semi slicks.
Spoon light tune was amazing bang for buck and kept up with stock R34 GTR
even on the straights.

Chasing the Top One EK-K20A. In the second lap I created new PB 1:10.59.
Max speed on the main straight was 161km/h (PowerFC record)
