2006 Mercedes Benz E500 Pewter A2358
The badge E500 seems very unassuming. A letter and some numbers. What's so
special about that? To put it very bluntly: everything. Your new Pewter
2006 Mercedes-Benz E500 with Keyless Go, Sunroof Package, and Wood Wheel is
the epitome of special. From its comfortable power leather seats to its
powerful 5.0L engine, Mercedes-Benz has gone the extra mile to make sure
that you have everything you could want or need in a car. And of course,
you'll also receive the joy that comes from the class and distinction
associated with owning a prestigious world class Mercedes-Benz. Let's take
a closer look at your new MB!
EXTERIOR: The PEWTER coat of paint on your new car is in very good
condition. The color looks great on this car and it certainly stands out
from the pack. The vehicle features an atlas grey grille with chrome ribs
and surround. Halogen headlamps with polycarbonate lenses outfit the eye
position lighting up the night and making you safely visible. There are
also dual heated power mirrors with memory and integrated turn signals.
When it rains, your car will also automatically turn on the dual aero-blade
infrared windshield wipers with heated washer system so that you'll be even
safer. The car is outfitted with 17" wheels that are wrapped with tires in
very good condition. The gas mileage is rated at 25 highway miles per
gallon. For a car with a 5.0L liter V8 engine putting out a whopping 302 horsepower and 339
lb-ft of torque that's not bad at all! This great engine features a driver
adaptive 7-speed automatic transmission with Touch Shift. Your new E500
also comes with the remainder of its Mercedes-Benz 4 year/50,000 mile
bumper to bumper warranty.
INTERIOR: No doubt you thought the exterior of the E500 looked good but
just wait until you see the inside! The interior of your new Benz is coated
in CHARCOAL upholstery in very good condition. The front seats are ten-way
power adjustable with three position memory and adjustable lumbar support!
Walnut burl wood trim accents the interior and flows throughout the car.
Everyone wants to stay comfortable in a car, and sometimes that's hard to
do with just one control of the air conditioner. This E500 is equipped with
automatic quad-zone climate control so that everyone in the car can feel as
comfortable as possible. The beautiful upgraded wood and leather steering
wheel (a $530 addition) features controls for the audio and multifunction
display controls. Take a look at the shifter. You'll notice a button on it
that says "Engine Start / Stop." This is part of the $1,080 factory Keyless
Go system. You wont even have to put in your key to start the car! Just
step on the brake and press the button and your car will sense that you
have the key with you and will start up. How convenient! Everyone likes
listening to some good tunes on their commute and Mercedes has provided
just the system to make that possible. Your AM/FM stereo with CD player
sounds great through nine speakers with four channel amp and automatic
speed-sensitive volume adjustment. It even has a six-disc CD changer! As
part of the $1,500 Sunroof Package, your new car comes outfitted with a
power glass sunroof and very convenient power rear window sunshade. Your
E500 also comes with the following features: power doors and windows, 4-way
power tilt steering wheel, multifunction display, SmartKey system,
auto-dimming rearview mirror, cruise control, touch turn signals, and
Mercedes-Benz Maintenance System. Further, your new car also comes with
factory mats, books, and one key with built-in remote.
SAFETY: Safety is undoubtedly important to you. Mercedes has you covered
with: ABS brakes, brake assist system, driver and front passenger adaptive
dual stage airbags, front/rear side-impact air bags/air curtains, 3-point
seat belts, rear LATCH system, illuminated emergency trunk release,
electronic stability program, and programmable daytime running lamps.
Please enjoy the many photos we have taken to help you get to know your
Mercedes-Benz E500 better. We always try to make sure our cars are as close
to new condition as possible which means any dings removed and light
scratches polished out. Remember, though, that while this automobile is in
excellent condition it is a used car and shows some signs of wear. Don't
forget the great savings you'll have with this purchase: this 2006 model
new had an MSRP of $62,715 with its options! While the name may initially
not imply the greatness of this automobile, with just one look you will
appreciate just how special your 2006 Mercedes-Benz E500 is!
Crash Test of 2003- 2006 Mercedes E-Class E 500 (Frontal Offset) IIHS

FRONTAL OFFSET TEST
OVERALL EVALUATION: Good

Important: Frontal crash test ratings can be compared only among vehicles
of similar weight.
The Mercedes E Class was redesigned for the 2003 model year. 2003 E Class
models manufactured after December 2002 include structural changes to
improve occupant protection in frontal offset crashes. (Note: Information
about when a specific vehicle was manufactured is on the certification
label typically affixed to the car on or near the driver door.)
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has evaluated the
crashworthiness of an E Class with the structural changes in a 40 mph
frontal offset crash test into a deformable barrier.
Restraints/dummy kinematics — Dummy movement was reasonably well
controlled. During rebound, the dummy's head moved partway out the open
window and hit the B-pillar and window frame.
Injury measures — Measures taken from the dummy indicate a low risk of
any significant injuries in a crash of this severity. Head acceleration
from the B-pillar/window frame hit was low.
Left to right:
* Action shot taken during the frontal offset crash test. Larger photo
* The dummy's position in relation to the steering wheel and instrument
panel after the crash test indicates that the driver's survival space was
maintained very well. Larger photo
* Smeared greasepaint indicates where the dummy's head hit the B-pillar
and window frame. Head acceleration from this hit was low. Larger photo
* Forces on the legs and feet were low, indicating that significant
injury was unlikely. Larger photo
* Side airbags: front and rear head curtain airbags and front
seat-mounted torso airbags
* Rollover sensor: designed to deploy the side curtain airbags in the
event of an impending rollover
* Automatically adjusting head restraints in front seats move up or
down as seats are adjusted forward or rearward
* Electronic stability control
* Antilock brakes
* Daytime running lights
