2013 Cadillac ATS Review
With big claims and even bigger aspirations, can the ATS really hope to win
over young luxury buyers from the German brands?
Topping out third gear I've got just enough time to think about grabbing
fourth when the first braking marker is past my front tire and I'm pushing
hard on the four piston Brembos. The lightest car in its class, it slows
with ease as I downshift to second, applying prodigious amounts of throttle
as I crest the right-hander. The rear steps out slightly as I continue to
roll on the throttle and then it happens... stability control.

The 2013 Cadillac ATS features the Cadillac User Experience, or CUE. This
new infotainment platform utilizes a capacitive touch screen that allows
users to swipe, pinch, and drag content on the screen, just like with an
iPad or other tablet PCs. Additionally, it'll sync up with smartphones,
iPods, and USB thumb drives with a total of 3 USB hubs located throughout
the interior of the ATS! Users can sync up their Pandora accounts over
Bluetooth as well.

2013 Cadillac ATS Exterior Walkaround with Global Product Manager Ken Kornas: Part 1
http://www.autobytel.com/cadillac/ats/2013/ Autobytel was recently invited
to try out the all new 2013 Cadillac ATS where we had the opportunity to
speak with Ken Kornas, the 2013 Cadillac ATS Global Product Manager, at the
all new Atlanta Motorsports Park for a thorough walkaround highlighting
this luxury car's best features. The ATS is the latest entry into the
luxury sedan market by Cadillac. This vehicle really starts a renaissance
of new automobiles products that will be offered from Cadillac over the
next few years.
What you notice first about the 2013 Cadillac ATS styling is the vertical
headlights, the shape and forms that are the evolution of Cadillac's art
and science design theme. The crisp lines, proportions, and overall size of
the ATS give it a distinct look compared to the other cars in the Cadillac
stable. The ATS offers a number of features on the exterior that are
striking and very noticeable. Up front the Cadillac distinctive grille is
bold yet elegant. The vertical design headlamps now wrap to the top of the
The 2013 Cadillac ATS is targeted in content, features, price, and
execution; to the compact luxury car buyer. Some competitor cars that
Cadillac is aiming for are the Mercedes C-Class, Audi A4, and the BMW

2013 CADILLAC ATS 2.5-Liter/ 3.6-liter REVIEW and XTS comparison
The ATS is sexy, big enough for me to drive and will comfortably fit a
small family. However, this car really doesn't make sense when what GM
should have put forth was a slightly larger CTS. The upcoming CTS will be
bigger, but will likely be more expensive. considering this base ATS
retails for over $33,000, I feel it's too small to be so expensive -
especially since it's aimed at a "niche" performance small car buyer. They
can probably beat the BMW 3 series in a lap or on the track, but who in
their right mind is gonna take a "Cadillac" over a "BMW"? The people
buying these cars shop based on name - not on specs. I really feel that
loyal buyers aren't cross shopping the ATS and 3 -series.
The interior looks and feels great but, Cadillacs should offer:
-massage lumbar in the seats
- motorized waterfall cushions as an option
- CUE as a STANDARD feature (especially at these prices!!!)
