Duramax S480 custom twin turbos
custom twin turbos on a duramax diesel.
ALL piping/fabrication/welding/design done by myself and my buddy. Borg
Warner S480 1.32 A/R primary turbo,
stock LLY duramax garrett AVNT-37 variable vane turbo. Piping painted by myself in GM 'dark
charcoal metallic' base/clear... stock LBZ short block, LLY heads, C-head
gaskets (thicker), big dipper injectors, etc. The first clip was a small
tune and rolling start; no Boosted
launch, and my converter is stupid and doesnt lock until ~50mph if you
watch closely. The rest of the video is with a completely stock duramax
tune. It makes 33-ish psi with a completely stock tune and 50psi with a
small tune (2050us, 20* timing, about a "90hp" tune)

Boost Gauge Fun
Video showing our fun with the Boost
gauge during testing of our Duramax high flow headers and up pipes. The
truck is virtually lag free now and responds like a gasser, the Boost just jumps with the throttle. Truck is
towing 20k combined from Houston to San Antonio. Power and efficiency are
increased and EGT is kept under much better control.

twin turbo duramax
played it at double speed just for shits and giggles, sounds like a big
block. suncoast IV transmission with 73,000 miles on it. Converter is shot
and needs to be refreshed as soon as I have some spare time to pull it out.
