2014 Audi RS5 vs 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 507 Coupe! - Head 2 Head Ep. 51
On this episode of Head 2 Head, Jonny Lieberman sets out to discover which
German hot-rod-personal-luxury-coupe is the best you can get. The 507 Coupe
is the last iteration of the W204 C63. With the exception of the very
limited-run Black Series, it's the best C63 that AMG has ever done. Under
its hood sits a hand-built, 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V-8 good for 507
more do you want? Perhaps something more high-tech, and that's where the
Audi RS5 comes in. The sexy coupe from Quattro GmbH in Neckarsulm features
a 4.2-liter V-8 that spits out 450 hp. That¹s less power than the 507
Coupe makes, true, but the Audi also features AWD, a dual-clutch
transmission, bigger wheels and tires, plus a trick torque-vectoring rear
differential. Which one is quicker? Which one is more fun to drive? Which
one is best? Watch and find out!

Rear Wheel Bearing Removal With No Special Tools BMW 3 Series
I did the job with no special tools. Well, the only "special" tool I used
is found in your plumbing department.

Supersprint Exhaust Interior of BMW 330i
Some clips for anyone who want to hear what a Supersprint Exhaust sounds like in normal driving situations
with some play mixed in too!
To be honest there is a minor bit of drone at low RPMs under load. Once a
downshift is done to put RPMs around 3,000 under load (uphill) then the
slight drone disappears.
2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6X6 vs 2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG! Head 2 Head Ep. 46
On this episode of Head 2 Head, Jonny Lieberman heads to Graz, Austria, the
home of one of the world's toughest off roaders - the Mercedes-Benz
G-Wagen. The last time a G63 appeared on Head 2 Head, it beat out the
all-new and quite excellent Range Rover Supercharged. This time, however,
the G63 faces even stiffer competition — another G63. Of course, this
particular G has an extra axle, because it's the $500,000+ G63 AMG 6x6!
Costing roughly twice as much as the awesome twin-turbo V-12 powered G65, the 6x6 is the ultimate
expression of the Gelandewagen... on paper. But is it actually any good? Is
the 6x6 as awesome as it looks, or is the regular G-Wagen just too well
thought out? And why is the 6-wheeled truck always jumping in the air like
that? Watch and find out!

The Tire-Punishing, 400HP Turbo BMW E30! - /TUNED
The BMW E30 is quickly becoming a cult classic among the DIY, autocross,
and track crowd. And though the M3 version may be climbing so quickly in
price, soon no one will be able to afford one, the 325i, as it turns out,
has some chops as a great platform for tuning. Kameron Baker's homebuilt
E30 is just about the nicest one we've seen, and if you think it looks
great, wait till you see how it drives.

In Part-1 of this two part series, we will replace the front shock (strut)
assembly on a typical BMW E90, E91, E92 and E93 3-series chassis (06-12).
See Part-2 for the rear shock replacement.
The Bentley repair manuals will cover standard shock and spring replacement
for the various BMW and MINI models. This DIY will assume that the DIYer
has the applicable Bentley manual for additional reference as well as
fastener torque values. Note that we will be installing the Koni Sport
shocks. However, the procedures would be the same for any common
• New shocks/struts (Bilstein, Koni, Sachs, etc.)
• New Shock install kits (compression bumpers, dust shields, spring pads,
• New upper strut and shock mounts
• New strut & shock mount gaskets (as required)
• Rear shock mount reinforcing plates
• Bentley Repair Manual
* BavAuto spring compressor tool
• BavAuto Non-Marring pry bar set
• 13mm through 18mm ½"drive socket & ratchet set with various extensions
• 4mm through 8mm Allen keys or bits (for ratchet use)
• 13mm through 18mm combination wrench set
• Assorted flat and Phillips screwdrivers
FRONT (applies directly to the E90/91/92/93 3-series, but other late model
BMWs are similar):
1) Safely raise the front of car, with suspension hanging.
2) Remove the wheels.
3) Disconnect the upper end of the swaybar link from the shock/strut
bracket. Note that the through-stud for the link's upper joint (as well as
the lower) must be secured using a 16mm to 18mm thin open end wrench.
4) Remove the inner fender liner (in order to access the forward control
arm bushing through-bolt.
5) Loosen the forward control arm through-bolt. Do not remove the bolt.
6) Loosen the rearward control arm bushing through-bolt and nut. Do not
remove the bolt and nut.
7) Remove the strut mounting pinch-bolt. The bolt goes through the strut
mounting clamp on the wheel hub/spindle assembly and has a nut on the
opposite side (some models do not use nuts; the bolt threads into the
8) Set the mounting bracket for the ABS sensor wire, brake pad wear sensor
wire (left side only) and brake fluid hose aside.
9) Disconnect the wires and hose from the chassis bracket and the chassis
wiring harness plugs, inside the connector box.
10) If the vehicle has adaptive headlights (self-aiming), disconnect the
sensor link from the control arm or the sensor bell-crank arm. The sensors
may only be present on one side of the vehicle.
11) Dismount the brake calipr from the caliper mounting bracket, remove the
caliper and hang it inside the wheel well area using a wire or stretch
12) Place a support or jack under the lower control arm to support the
suspension as the upper strut mount nuts are removed.
13) Remove the three 13mm nuts that secure the upper mount to the body
(strut tower), under the hood.
14) Gently lower the jack or support, from step-12, and lower the strut
assembly. Pull the strut assembly up and out of the hub/spindle. A helper
may need to push down on the hub/spindle as you pull the strut upward. If
the clamp is too tight for the strut to pull out, use a cold-chisel or
large flat-blade screwdriver as a wedge to open the clamp a bit. Tap the
wedge into the split in the clamp (from the top). This will widen the
clamp and allow the strut to be removed.
15) Once removed from the hub/spindle clamp, remove the strut assembly from
the wheel well area.
16) Install a spring compressor to the spring on the strut assembly.
Compress the spring until you can tell that the spring pressure is relieved
from the upper and lower spring seats.

requirement). Watch the video and see our tech blog for the full DIY steps

2014 Audi A4 Test Drive Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/audi/a4/2014/ The 2014 Audi A4 is a Premium
Compact Car that can be optioned out as a luxury car or a sports sedan.
While it's true the Audi A4 is aging and nearing the end of its lifespan,
it remains a compelling automobile. The clean and conservative design has
withstood the test of time and the interior is filled with high quality
details. Under the hood lives a fuel efficient and powerful turbocharged engine while the Quattro AWD system
makes the car handle on rails. There is very little to complain about when
it comes to the 2014 Audi A4.
The model tested here is the Premium Plus trim which starts at $37,300;
that is until you add on the Navigation Package, Sport Package, and Black
Optic Package. Now the price swells to over $43k. So how does this compact
sedan stack up against the competition?
There is no denying the Audi A4 looks great. The Black Optic Package adds a
set of 19-inch rims finished with a titanium look which are fantastic. The
Black Optics Package also includes a blacked-out grille.
The A4 only has one engine option and that is a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder that
makes 220 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. of
torque. The car feels strong thanks to the high torque figures. The A4 also
manages some excellent fuel economy numbers for an AWD car at 20 MPG in the
city and 29 MPG on the highway.
One of the best things about driving the Audi A4 is the engine. By the
numbers the powerplant does not seem that exciting. But this turbocharged engine has been around for many years
and Volkswagen has clearly refined it so. The Quattro AWD system makes the
car a blast to drive.
