General Lee Destroyed by Fire - Fifteen Years of Fun - Part 1
Visit www.mygenerallee.com for updates.... My wife is the major contributor to this inspirational video to rebuild the General Lee. The fire started inside the house from a sump pump malfunction. The pump kicked on when there was no water in the sump pump hole and ran so long that it caught on fire. The fire then traveled up the ejection pipe and caught the staircase that the pump was under on fire, then spread into the hallway, living room, and garage. What the fire didn't destroy, the intense heat and smoke did, including the entire second level of the house. We were out of town when it started.

Obstacle Course, Hill Climb, and Coal Chute! - Top Truck Challenge 2013
Purchase the Top Truck Challenge DVD here! http://www.4wheelparts.com/search.aspx?kw=top+truck+challenge+dvd The Obstacle Course begins with a shockingly tall and long slippery hill descent known as the "first hill" and it ends with a nasty dogleg gully that's tantalizingly close to the finish line. In between is a treasure trove of terror. The "lower section" forces competitors to navigate a 360-degree turn through three deep water holes and sand. From there, competitors travel up a hill to the "upper section" that includes a deceiving off-camber U-turn (known as "U-turn Hill"), two deep water holes, and numerous tight turns. This event has a 10-minute time limit, but speed is the enemy. This is because the course is marked with numerous cones and each one hit adds 20 seconds to the overall time. If all four tires of a rig travel outside a cone the rig is disqualified at that point. Safety violations net a whopping two-minute penalty. Clearly, accuracy is the key to success in the Obstacle Course. Think back to those hillclimbs you've done in your 4x4. Yeah, the TTC Hill Climb isn't like that. The Hill Climb is built specifically for TTC, it's approximately 600 feet in length and it has an average angle of approximately 60 degrees. It twists and turns as it winds through the poison oak and it's peppered with strategically-placed deep holes and dirt hills. Yes, we added hills to our Hill Climb. The Hill Climb is loose, steep, and unpredictable. Naturally, we don't let drivers see it before they run it because that would ruin the surprise. The Hill Climb rewards those who can think on-the-fly and punishes those who are thinking about the next event. We allowed each competitor 5 minutes to tackle the hill and during that time they could stop, reverse, or winch. If a competitor exceeded the time limit, traveled out of bounds, or violated a safety rule they were disqualified at that point. The Mini Rubicon, a staple of Top Truck for years, was a brutal event that forced competitors to fight for every inch of forward progress. It was tough and unforgiving. We wanted something tougher. So, for 2013 we replaced the Mini Rubicon with the awe-inspiring Coal Chute. This event uses a newly developed area (Rock Rash Ridge) at the Hollister Hills SVRA that contains an amazing collection of man-made obstacles. Naturally, we tweaked it to make it exclusive to Top Truck. Our mind-bending course was approximately 525 feet in length, and included steep walls in excess of 7 feet tall and jumbles of rocks and cement tubes. We even brought in a water truck and created a waterfall on the final cement climb. The course was broken into four distinct sections. We threw competitors a curve ball and allowed them to skip one of the two first sections. However, we penalized each competitor 10 minutes if they bypassed the first section and 6 minutes if they bypassed the second section. Strategy was a major player at this event. There was a 20-minute time limit and safety violations netted a two-minute penalty. If two of the vehicles tires traveled outside of the cones the competitor was disqualified at that point. '67 Crusher Camaro vs '70 Super Bee 1,500-Mile Burnout-Fest! - Roadkill Episode 19
On this episode of Roadkill, it's Freiburger in the Super Bee versus Finnegan in the '67 Camaro as the guys make the trip from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City and back to go race at the Midnight Drags at Rocky Mountain Raceways in hopes of running the Bee on Nitrous for the first time since the Hemi was installed. Which car will work best over 1,500 miles of mayem in three days? The 700hp, blown Crusher Camaro is HOT ROD's longest-term project car, surviving 20 years at the magazine. David Freiburger's 675hp Hemi 1970 Dodge Super Bee is his first car, having been with him 30 years. Both cars suffer from magazine-project-car syndrome: getting brief spurts of attention followed by long periods of neglect. For the first time in years, both cars were running and driving at the same time. The Crusher Camaro is a '67 model that was purchased for $700 in 1994 during California's car-crushing program; it was rescued from the parking lot of a junkyard where it was about to be handed in for crushing. It's been through a number of engines in its time at HOT ROD magazine, and the most recent is a 489ci bi-block (4.280 bore, 4.250 stroke) with 9.3:1 compression. It has a small, 224-at-0.050 Comp hydraulic roller cam, Holley oval-port heads, and a Weiand 8-71 Supercharger with two Holley 850HP carbs. The engine makes 700 hp and 720 lb-ft on 5 psi Boost, but is tame enough to drive anywhere. The transmission is a Gearstar 4L85E that's really awesome, and the Ford 9-inch is loaded with 3.50 gears. The car is styled with Center Line Auto Drags and a nose-high stance to look like a street machine of the early ¹80s. It has run 10.60 at 125 in the quarter-mile in the same trim seen in this video. Freiburger's ¹70 Dodge Super Bee is powered by a 10:0:1-compression, 484ci Hemi with ported iron cylinder heads and a Comp solid roller camshaft. It also uses a Holley Dominator carb on a custom dual-plane intake manifold by Dick Landy, whose shop built the long-block in 1995. It made 675 hp on the engine Dyno, but in the car is has smaller headers, fairly restrictive Exhaust, and a mechanical fan that pull it down to around 600. The trans is a Gearstar 727 Torqueflite backed by a Gear Vendors under/overdrive, and the Strange 60 rearend has 3.73 gears (a little too high for the natuarally aspirated combo). The car weights 4,050 pounds with the driver, and has run 11.80 at 118 mph on the motor. From the comedy 'Short Time' with Dabney Coleman, Matt Frewer and Teri Garr. Overall, considering all factors, I find this the best car chase scene ever filmed. NOTE: Coleman's car here is NOT a Diplomat. The grille in this red car says Plymouth. As the chase was filmed in Canada where the Plymouth Gran Fury was sold as the 'Caravelle' from 1978-1982, and as the 'Caravelle Salon' from 1983-89, it might be a Caravelle. Super car driver idiots [NO pics, only videos]
I got bored with all the "super car crashes"-videos here on YouTube that only contained PICTURES, CRAPPY MUSIC or/and clips of pure racing cars on official racing events. This compilation DOES NOT include pure racing cars on official racing events - only real life FAILures on the STREETS, made by people with more money than driving skills... (Though, even the best car drivers can crash too of course.) Notice 1: The "Dodge Ram" may not be a super car, but still it's a SRT10 with the 8.3L Viper V10 which produces 510hp. Pretty super for a pick up, don't you think? It has more power than several of the cars in this video. The intention with this video was to show that skills doesn't come with money. Notice 2: Tire is the preferred spelling in the U.S. and Canada. Tyre is preferred in most varieties of English outside North America. And I'm from Sweden. So please think outside your box (country), you who claims "tyre" is incorrect spelling.
