The video is about one of the most iconic rally car of the '70s: the Lancia
Stratos. Lancia presented the Lancia Stratos HF prototype at the 1971 Turin
Motor Show, a year after the announcement of the Stratos Zero concept car.
This car was powered by a mid-mounted Dino Ferrari V6 engine producing 192
hp. The production of the 500 cars required for homologation in Group 4
started in 1973 and it was finally homologated to race in the 1974 World
Rally championship. The Stratos rally car was moved by the same Ferrari V6
engine but a bit powered: 280 hp at 7800 rpm and 275 Nm of torque at 6000
rpm. Only 50 Stratos rally cars were built and it won the 1974, 1975 and
1976 championship titles in the hands of Sandro Munari and Björn

Lancia Stratos Rally Car "THE BEST SOUND"
KrisMotorSportVideos present the Lancia Stratos Wrc with pure engine sounds
drived by Sandro Munari & Piero Liatti. His first race came in 1972 Tour de
Corse, which was entrusted to the best driver available then, the "Dragon"
Sandro Munari, and where he had to retire for the rear suspension failure.
He got his first win the September 8, 1973 Firestone Rally of Spain in 1973
with Sandro Munari and Mario Mannucci. To date, only lacking in the world
rally honors are the Stratos Safari Rally and the RAC Rally, where Munari
in 1975 came only second. In all other races, only successes.

Carlos Sainz & Lancia Delta HF Integrale ´93 - with pure engine sounds (WRC Tour de Corse 1993)
2-time World Rally Champion Carlos Sainz along with his team-mate Andrea
Aghini in action with the fabulous Lancia Delta HF Integrale in Tour de
Corse Rallye de France 1993 which was the 5th round of the 1993 WRC season.
After the successful years with Toyota 1993 was a tough season for Carlos
in the Jolly Club Lancia, achieving only one podium and no wins. But
despite the problems he was as spectacular as ever.
New Lancia Stratos Sound!
I have filmed the magnificent 2010 Lancia Stratos, a one-off supercar made
to celebrate the old glorious Lancia Stratos. The car has been commissioned
by Michael Stoschek and developed by Pininfarina. The base used to build
the car was the Ferrari 430 Scuderia, including many mechanical components
such as the chassis, gearbox and the 4.3L V8 engine tuned up to 532bhp.
The New Stratos weighs 1,247 kg (2,749 lb) and is claimed to accelerate to
62 mph in 3.3 seconds and on to a top speed close to 200 mph (320 km/h).
While shorter than its donor car, the New Stratos is a little larger than
the original Stratos, with a length of 4,181 mm (164.61 in), 1,971 mm
(77.60 in) wide and 1,240 mm (48.82 in) tall.
