Datsun Skyline GT2000
Filmed the Hokosuka today as part 1 of a short film I'm working on. I'll be
adding to this once I get more footage on the road, etc.
Here I'm testing out the camera glider on my Xacti FH1 Full HD 60fps
Camera. Decided to start using this along with the 5D. Slowmotion done in
Music by Sade, Titled Morning Bird off her latest album, Soldier of Love.
Download it on iTunes, its awesome.

VIP Japanese Sedan Dress Up Car Collection ( PART 1 of 2 )
"VIP" (pronounced like whip or zip... not V.I.P) is the Japanese way of
dressing cars up... body kits, dropped suspension, HID fog lights, custom
headlights, wood and leather interiors, big rims and low profile
tyres...all that. Fabulous or Junction Produce are big names in the VIP
Although some people try to VIP little cars, generally speaking VIP cars
are big body sedans with larger engines, are luxurious and chunky looking.
I think personally companies like Brabus and Lorinser styled Merceds would
be considered "VIP" and are probably part of the influence behind the
genre. Any large sedan can be "VIPPED"... though the Japanese tend to go
for Japanese sedans or cars like Jaguar and Mercedes Benz.
The video is in Japanese however, it is back to back VIP cars, so you can
enjoy the view and forget the words. The people are talking about why they
decided to style their cars VIP, how they did it, which products and
styling comapnies they used etc... all kind of irrelevant unless you live
in Japan and want to do the same. The video shows some of the most
striking examples of Japanese VIP cars, so if you are new to the genre, Im
sure youre going to love the styling. VIP cars are incredible.
This DVD is from circa 2008/2009

450hp LS1 1978 Datsun 280Z
One of the coolest imports I've had the opportunity to see in action, this
extremely streetable 1978 Datsun 280z takes it's first trip to the drag
strip to do some testing. The car has an LS1 with heads, cam, and FAST
intake manifold putting down around 450 wheel horsepower! Best 1/8 mile
time was 7.11 for the night.
Driftworks V8 AE86 Moves for the first time
After being at Dynotorque on the ramps for
nearly 6 months, having insane amounts of work done, Today was Phils first
ever drive of the AE86 / ASCAR combination. It has a basic start map, so
doesn't run correctly yet, but we've not seen a silly smile on his face
like this since the DWS15 first moved. WHAT A NOISE! This car is set to be
something really special! Love it!
Thanks to Dynotorque,
Sky Insurance, Jenvey and Samco!
Definitive Z: The Limit and Legacy of the Datsun 240Z
John Williams is as hardcore a Datsun as a they come. A relative
late-comer, he embraced the Z culture in the early 1980s. Since then he's
used his skills as a machinist, and passion as an enthusiast, to produce
his own parts for award-winning classics. Among the finest is his silver
240Z, a labor of love for a sports car that changed the West's perception
of what the Japanese could do. Three generations later, the Nissan Z
continues to define the Japan's sports car culture.
Find out why.
