450hp LS1 1978 Datsun 280Z
One of the coolest imports I've had the opportunity to see in action, this
extremely streetable 1978 Datsun 280z takes it's first trip to the drag
strip to do some testing. The car has an LS1 with heads, cam, and FAST
intake manifold putting down around 450 wheel horsepower! Best 1/8 mile
time was 7.11 for the night.
Datsun Skyline GT2000
Filmed the Hokosuka today as part 1 of a short film I'm working on. I'll be
adding to this once I get more footage on the road, etc.
Here I'm testing out the camera glider on my Xacti FH1 Full HD 60fps
Camera. Decided to start using this along with the 5D. Slowmotion done in
Music by Sade, Titled Morning Bird off her latest album, Soldier of Love.
Download it on iTunes, its awesome.

360HP STAR ROAD DATSUN FAIRLADY S30Z WALKAROUND
Come and take a closer look at Star Road's insane L28 powered S30Z Fairlady
that is literally the perfect mix of both the old and new schools. I walk
you around the car, showing you the immense amounts of detail that have
gone into it. It is currently developing a screaming naturally aspirated
360hp, revs to 8000rpm and includes one of the most impressive engine bays
you will ever see including a special custom carburettor/injection setup
that is monitored by MoTec engine management and a full Defi system.
You would struggle to find a better modern take on a classic like the
Fairlady anywhere else on the planet.

1970 Nissan Fairlady Z432-R!!!!! One of about 20 R's built during the
entire 240Z production run. These made-to-order, lightweight cars were
packing the same engine out of the KPGC10 "Hakosuka" Skyline.
All Z432-R's were orange and featured the dull-black, fiberglass hood,
their interiors were stripped out, in addition to several other mods to
make the car lighter.

Driftworks V8 AE86 Moves for the first time
After being at Dynotorque on the ramps for
nearly 6 months, having insane amounts of work done, Today was Phils first
ever drive of the AE86 / ASCAR combination. It has a basic start map, so
doesn't run correctly yet, but we've not seen a silly smile on his face
like this since the DWS15 first moved. WHAT A NOISE! This car is set to be
something really special! Love it!
Thanks to Dynotorque,

Dare to Be Different in a Datsun 240Z
Owner Dave Scholz, shares his connection with a Japanese cult classic that
could easily be regarded as the 911 of Japan. Its iconic beauty, modular
mechanics, and desirability inspired Dave to heed to Datsun's famous racing
campaign of the '70s, "Dare to be different."
American heads spun when the 1970s ultimately snuffed out their beloved horsepower-drunk
muscle cars. As the world watched them squirm for performance, Japan was
busy developing the 240Z to bring a new thrill to American roads using
balance, harmony, and technology.
"Datsun didn't invent the overhead cam engine, or disc brakes, or
independent suspension but it has a habit of incorporating these
sophisticated systems into brilliantly conceived and easily affordable
cars." (Car and Driver; June, 1970)
