Ein 16-Ender Hirsch ruft sein Johny-Rudel auf. John Deere S690i mit 616C beim Mais dreschen. Ein 8300 mit amerikanischen Überladewagen schafft es nicht Shiva auf dem 1,6Km langen Schlag zu 100% zu bedienen. Nebenher fährt ein 7800 mit 6m Mulcher und dahinter ein nagelneuer 9560RT mit einem 8m Horsch Tiger auf 30cm Tiefe.

LeTourneau Super C CarryAll LP pan scraper, built in the 1940-45 era. 12-15 Cu Yd.
This one has a Cummins engine, don't know whether it's original, as LeTourneau worked closely with CAT in that time period.
This predates LeTourneau's use of electric drives, and uses a CAT CCU, and an interesting spiral sheave at the back end of the top frame.
Also note that it has differential steering, instead of steering rams on the yoke. Something of a challenge to operate!

I got a little cocky for the camera and tried to drive down over the piles of fresh fill. It was pretty soft and when I tried to lift the overloaded bucket up it just shoved the front of the tracks down deeper. I'm just glad I never had my door on.

Big, bigger, biggest. The Talvivaara Mine in Eastern Finland is an Eldorado for Heavy Equipment fans!
The key role in the extraction of the ore is played by a 360-ton heavy excavator. The bucket of the Hitachi EX 3600-6 can scoop up an impressive 60 tons of rock per load. Next in line is the Komatsu WA 1200-3, the "Mountain Mover" transports an impressive 35 cubic metres with each bucket load. The links between ore mining and ore processing are the huge trucks that are used here. The Hitachi EH3500 AC II with its 190 ton payload carries as much as ten ordinary highway-trucks.
