Genesis Coupe Drift Car Heist from Hyundai Headquarters featuring Rhys Millen
About two weeks before the wrecking ball was about to completely demolish our old Hyundai Motor America headquarters building in Fountain Valley, California, we had a crazy thought: Wouldn't it be cool to do something outrageous inside the building before all the walls finally came down? Actually, it was Dustin Loranger, one of our Service Technicians, who had the idea...and we loved it. Why not put Rhys Millen, his Genesis Coupe drift car, and our abandoned HQ together for a unique drift demonstration in a unique industrial setting? Rhys was up for the challenge, and remarkably, so were our lawyers, so we put this thing together, with tongue (and donut) firmly planted in cheek. We think the video does a pretty good job showcasing Rhys' car control skills, the sweetness of the Genesis Coupe drift car, and the reason why Hollywood probably doesn't have to worry, just yet, about this cast and crew. ;) How'd we do?

Team Hyundai Formula Drift Recap -- Round Two Road Atlanta featuring Genesis Coupe
Team Hyundai showed up to Formula Drift at Road Atlanta with the 2013 Genesis Coupe Drift Car and driver Rhys "Mad Skilz" Millen. The all-new 2013 Genesis Coupe Drift Car performed well, putting down some solid runs. We started off the top 32 battle by competing against Luke Lonberger in the #22 C6 Chevy Corvette. After two solid runs and some mistakes by our opponent we were able to progress to the next round of competition. For the top 16 we worked battled Fredric Aasbo in the #151 Team Need for Speed Scion tC. After three solid runs Frederic ended up taking the win. We're still in the hunt for the championship and are continuing our quest for the first place. As of round two, we're 4th place in the overall standings with 127 points. Team Hyundai Formula Drift Recap -- Round Four Wall Speedway featuring Genesis Coupe
Team Hyundai showed up to Wall Speedway, New Jersey with the 2013 Genesis Coupe Drift Car and driver Rhys "Mad Skilz" Millen. Just like Formula Drift Palm Beach, the Genesis Coupe Drift Car adjusted to cope with changing weather and track conditions. Both wet and dry, the course presented various challenges as the race progressed. Wall Speedway is a very technical course, lots of corners made for a lot of excitement and tough competition. Team Hyundai started the race off by taking on Michael Essa in the top 32. After progressing to the top 16, team Hyundai and driver Rhys "Mad Skilz" Millen faced Formula D veteran Daijiro Yoshihara and his Nissan S13 240sx. After an epic battle for top 16 Daijiro Yoshihara progressed and finished second. Team Hyundai is now 7th place in points and will continue to work hard and turn the heat up for the fans. FORMULA DRIFT FIRST EVER SEMI TRUCK DRIFTING EXHIBITION

Ride along as Mike and Sam Hubinette get some last minute testing in the week before the event at Irwindale Speedway. Watch as Sam in his competition Dodge Challenger and Mike in his Big Rig do drift donuts around each other! You'll also meet a very special kid named William Klopper who is battling cancer and goes for a ride in the big truck! Sam Hubinette was granting a wish to William's friend Patrick by inviting them out to the track for ride alongs. Team Hyundai showed up to beautiful Palm Beach with the 2013 Genesis Coupe Drift Car and driver Rhys "Mad Skilz" Millen. The Genesis Coupe Drift Car performed great, responding well to the various tweaks and adjustments to cope with changing weather and track conditions. After placing 6th in qualifying, Hyundai and Rhys Millen Racing were victorious in the top 32 battle vs. Jeremy Lowe. We would proceed to battle the Ryan Tuerck in the top 16. After 2 solid runs and the fastest entry speed of the night, Ryan Tuerck advanced. In the overall standings we are now 4th place points, looking forward to our next race in New Jersey.
