2015 VW Golf 7 GTE (204hp) - DRIVE & SOUND (1080p)
This week I present to you the full Drive & Sound test of the 2014/2015 Volkswagen Golf 7 GTE with the twin engine concept delivering 204 hp and up to 350 Nm of torque. While the 1.4 TSI with 150 hp is already not really slow, they added the 102 hp electric motor out of the e-Golf to make this a prober GT(E). As you can see, this car really pulls once you put it in "B" (Boost?) and GTE-mode. I don't really know why it is significantly faster than what VW claims but it also feels like more than 200 hp! Especially as I tested the Golf 7 GTD and GTI (220hp) I can tell that this hybrid is very close to the GTI! Besides that you get an "E-Mode" that let's you accelerate pretty decent up to 130 km/h and drive totally quiet in cities....I personally like it! On top of that you get the quick shifting DSG (6-speed) that also shifts in E-Mode...very cool! Please make sure to LIKE / COMMENT & SUBSCRIBE!

We put a deal together on it and this video documents some of the adventure in retrieving it from New Mexico. First thing first:this video was shot using my phone as i don't own a proper camera so parden the bad quality and for some reason my wife filmed me driving with it held vertically and i didn't want to film it again and piss my neighbors off. This video is to show were i'm at with my project mk1 jetta, and because it's now for sale so people can here it run and see it as it is today. the car is obviously not completely finished and is running off just the headers witch i don't really know if its good or bad to do that so i've only run it a few times for short periods. When the car is put in reverse its seems hard to pop it back into neutral from in the car but easily disengages when you just grab it right at the tranny so it seems it's just a linkage adjustment, this is the same clutch and tranny that was on the original motor and was working and driving perfect before i swapped the motor. the oil light seems to come on when you give it a bit of gas, ive had many vw's do this and its never been a huge issue and its just one of the bugs to work out when doing this simple engine swap. The motor was running great when it was in the scirocco i got it from and was driven daily but that car was in a small wreck and was modified for rally racing aswell(so maybe bad oil pump,heavy oil or just the sending unit )the motor has an external oil cooler as well. So thats basically it for this description and thanks for checking it out.
