'68 Plymouth RoadRunner 383ci
Sunday trip out with my Polish mate in my Roadrunner to an American car show at Bosworth Water Park near Market Bosworth, UK. This car spent the first part of it's life in the UK being raced on the Drag strip by Dave Billadeau. It was then left to rot in a barn before being restored by the guy I bought it off.
1969 Plymouth Road Runner 383 Big Block - Restored Muscle Car
Thought you'd like a look at this nice example of Mopar muscle. It's a nicely restored 69 Plymouth Road Runner with the 383 big block under the hood. It's a nice straight car and the interior looks like new. It really just needs a good cleaning and it'll make someone an excellent ride.
NEEP! NEEP! EVER POPULAR PLYMOUTH ROADRUNNER, 1969
PLYMOUTH ROADRUNNERS CONTINUED THEIR POPULARITY IN 1969 EVEN THOUGH THEY COST MORE THAN THE COMPETITION: $2945 FOR THE PILLARED COUPE, $3083 FOR THE HARDTOP. ROADRUNNER'S POWERPLANT WAS A HEFTY 335 BHP 383 V-8 WHICH COULD PROPEL THE 3,400 POUND CAR TO A 14 SECOUND QUARTER MILE. AH, BUT MIDYEAR THE 440 6 BARREL BECAME AN OPTION. WHICH WOULD YOU PREFERRED? IF YOU CHOSE THE FAMOUS HEMI ENGINE THEN STRAP YOURSELF IN TO DO 60 MPH IN 5.3 SECONDS OR THE QUARTER MILE IN 13 AND A HALF SECONDS FLYING AT 105 MPH. NOW WHAT DO YOU PREFER? MOTOR TREND MAGAZINE WAS IMPRESSED, VOTING THE '69 ROADRUNNER " CAR OF THE YEAR".
CHECK OUT THIS FANTASTIC RESTORATION OF THIS ROADRUNNER. THIS IS WHAT A BRAND NEW PLYMOUTH ROADIE WOULD LOOK LIKE WHEN YOU PICKED IT UP FROM THE DEALER. EVERY DETAIL, EVERY INCH FROM ENGINE COMPARTMENT TO THE TRUNK IS LIKE NEW. NOTICE THE AIR CLEANER DECAL, COYOTE ROADRUNNER, AND THE FLAT BLACK HOOD WITH TIE-DOWNS, ROADRUNNER DECALS ON THE BODY AND STEERING WHEEL CENTER. THE INTERIOR HAS BEEN RESTORED, BUT THE VINYL ROOF IS ORIGINAL. YOU CAN EAT A MEAL OFF THE ENGINE. THIS IS ANOTHER RARE MUSCLE CAR I'VE SEEN THAT IS RESTORED SO WELL THAT IT TAKES YOU BACK IN TIME WHEN THIS MUSCLE WAS NEW. Check out my other rare, restored, or special interest cars and trucks in my videos.
