2012 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 R-Spec Test Drive & Luxury Car Review

http://www.autobytel.com/hyundai/genesis/2012/?id=32972 The 2012 Hyundai Genesis Sedan R-Spec is a real screamer. With a Direct Injection 5.0 liter V-8 engine, the Genesis R-Spec cranks out 427 horsepower and 376 lb-ft. of torque. This power is channeled through an 8-speed transmission. Fuel economy remains respectable with the Genesis R-Spec netting 16 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway. There are many nice refinements and changes on the 2012 Hyundai Genesis R-Spec. The chrome grille features color matched accents and the headlights have a really cool line of LED lights. The Genesis R-Spec rocks huge 19-inch wheels with high performance tires. On the inside the Genesis R-Spec is all luxury and technology. Hyundai used the finest materials and the Blue Link System keeps you up to date on with all the modern technology bells and whistles. Furthermore the sound system on the 2012 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 R-Spec comes from Lexicon, the company that also makes sound systems for Rolls Royce. The 2012 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 R-Spec costs $46,500. And for that price you get a fully loaded luxury car with leather, navigation, the big engine, and the 8-speed transmission just to name a few. Most other luxury cars start at this price for the base model. Oh and don't forget about the 400+ horsepower! 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/kia/optima-hybrid/?id=32972 The Kia Optima went from being one of the ugliest cars in the automotive world to one of the best looking car companies. And the 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid may be the best looking hybrid on the market today. The Optima Hybrid is powered by a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 166 horsepower and 154 lb-ft. of torque. With the additional power from the electric motor the total horsepower output is 206. The 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid has a 6-speed transmission. Fuel Economy figures for the Optima Hybrid are 36 MPG in the city and 40 MPG on the highway. Kia did a great job on the 2012 Optima Hybrid by maximizing interior space while keeping a sporty design. The double panoramic sunroof is a really great feature too! With a base price of $26,500 the 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid is a great choice for a fuel efficient mid sized car. 2012 Hyundai Equus Test Drive & Luxury Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/hyundai/equus/2012/?id=32972 Everything you would expect in a luxury sedan can be found in the 2012 Hyundai Equus. In fact the Equus is a very nice alternative to Lexus, BMW, and Mercedes at a more affordable price. The Equus is a RWD long wheel base luxury sedan with a base price of $59,000. This is $15k-$30k less than is competition! When the Equus was first launched in this country it came with a very respectable 4.6 liter engine. But the engine certainly did not have the guts to match up to some of the competitors in the luxury car segment. For the 2012 model year the Equus gets an updated GDI 5.0 liter V-8 engine produces huge numbers at 429 horsepower and 376 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is an 8-speed automatic. Fuel economy figures are 15 MPG in the city and 23 MPG on the highway. Hyundai has gone to great lengths to shed the image that their cars lack character. Well the new fluidic design element is evident on the 2012 Hyundai Equus. Up front the Equus shares the same style front grill as the Genesis sedan. HID Xenon headlights equipped with LED turn signals really accent the exterior of this luxury sedan. The 19-inch chrome wheels are also a great touch and they perfectly accentuate the other chrome accents parts on the exterior. The Equus can easily be mistaken for a Lexus or other high-end luxury cars. If you got behind the wheel of a 2012 Hyundai Equus, you might think you are in a Lexus LS 460. The gauges are very similar to that of other high-end luxury cars and the seat adjustments are located on the door just like they are in a Mercedes S550. There is an 8-inch navigation unit that also displays driver information located in the center dash. The whole interior is wrapped in high quality leather. There are lovely wood accents throughout. The audio is handled by a 608-watt Lexicon sound system. The driver's seats are 12-way adjustable and feature both heating and cooling. In the back there are two premium first-class seats that can recline and feature leg support. The center console in the rear is a mini fridge. The 2012 Hyundai Equus combines all the best features found on other luxury cars in one great package. 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/hyundai/genesis-coupe/2013/?id=32972 The 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe is back with a newly redesigned look and upgraded engine choices. The Genesis Coupe has always been lumped into the muscle car category with its front engine, rear-wheel drive platform. But the muscle cars have always held a distinct power advantage until now. The base engine for the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe is a turbocharged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder. Power is up 30% from 210 horsepower up to 274 horsepower. An upgraded dual-scroll turbo, larger Intercooler, and Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing help achieve these better power figures. Fuel economy for the 2.0 liter engine is 21 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway. The other engine choice is a direct-injected 3.8 liter V-6 which produces 348 horsepower. Fuel economy for this engine is expected to be 18 MPG in the city and 28 MPG in the highway. There are two transmission choices available in the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe: an 8-Speed automatic or a 6-speed manual. On the outside the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe retains the same overall shape but the styling has been changed to reflect the rest of the Hyundai line-up. Up front the Genesis receives a more aggressive look thanks to an upgraded hood with two scoops, new front fascia, and larger bumper opening. Out back the Exhaust gasses exit out dual asymmetrical chrome pipes. The lights have been upgraded to include LED daytime running lamps which can be found on high end luxury cars. The R-Spec and Track editions will receive huge 19-inch alloy wheels. On the inside the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe features an available 360-watt Infinity sound system. There are steering wheel controls for the audio system and the usual iPod, USB, and auxiliary ports. A navigation system can be purchased as an option that includes a 7-inch touch screen monitor. The rear seats have been designed with comfort in mind. Instead of stuffing 3 seats in the rear; Hyundai has decided to go with only two. This means there is a ton of room for the rear occupants. When the Hyundai Genesis Coupe arrived on the scene a few years ago it was certainly a respectable car. In fact it was this car and the sedan version that really gave Hyundai a Boost in the automotive world. Now with the 2013 model there is more power! The base model 2.0 liter Hyundai Genesis Coupe starts at $24,250 and the top of the line 3.8 liter with the track package will retail for about $33,000. 2012 Nissan 370Z Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/nissan/370z/2012/?id=32972 The Nissan Z Car has been around since the early 1970's under the Datsun name. For year the Z has been one of the most beloved affordable sports cars both here in the United States and in Japan as well. The 2012 Nissan 370Z is considered the Mustang of Japan since the drive train configuration, price, and body style is similar to that of many American muscle cars. The 2012 Nissan 370Z has a base price of $31,910 with the top of the line Touring Roadster costing over $44,000. The 2012 Nissan 370Z is powered by one of the best engines every produced by Nissan. The VQ37VHR is a 3.7 liter V-6 engine with Variable Valve Timing that produces 332 horsepower and 270 lb-ft. of torque. A 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission puts the power down to the rear wheels. The 2012 Nissan 370Z can achieve up to 19 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway. The 370Z is considered to be the little brother of the mighty Nissan GT-R. It is smaller, costs less, and does not have as much power. That being said the 2012 Nissan 370Z does benefit from having the GT-R as an older brother in that some of the high end technology and options have been passed down to the 370Z. The first thing you notice are the huge 19-inch RAYS sport rims. These forged alloy wheels are not only strong but they are also lightweight. The 370Z also sports a sleek body with functional spoilers both front and rear. In the performance department the 2012 Nissan 370Z has a viscous limited-slip differential which makes sure power is transferred to the wheel that needs it the most. Also the Nissan 370Z features a SynchroRev Match system which automatically blips the throttle to promote faster and smoother shifting between gears. The 2012 Nissan 370Z is an excellent sports car. It may be a little rough around the edges and a little on the pricey side, but if you want a true Japanese sports car with over 300 horsepower and rear-wheel drive, then the 370Z is an excellent choice. 2012 Hyundai Genesis R-Spec 0-60 MPH
http://MPGomatic.com drops the hammer on a 2012 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 R-Spec Sedan for a 0-60 MPH acceleration test. The Genesis R-Spec is fitted with a 5.0L V8 is mated to a eight-speed automatic transmission. The 5.0-liter V8 produces 429 horsepower (HP) and 376 foot pounds of torque. This test was performed off-idle, with traction control on. (No launch!) Due to the time of year, the test car was fitted with Bridgestone Blizzak winter tires. Under optimum conditions, I could shave a few tenths off. Lets call this run a 5.3. MPGomatic produces car review videos with a unique focus on gas mileage, in-cabin technology, and driveability.
