The “Eleanor” name was seen again, this time associated with a 1967 Mustang fastback in the 2000 remake of “Gone in 60 Seconds” and this particular car is an imitation of this massively famous machine. This fine example is reported as having “one of the finest handmade fiberglass 'Eleanor' kits installed” to this 95,000 actual mile platform that has received a rotisserie restoration during the course of its custom build. A photo album of the build is included in the sale. 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback Restoration Slideshow ~ start to finish. I’m really glad I took all of these photos, not only for the snapshot in time, but also for saving all of the great memories along the way. I found the car for sale in the local paper and was lucky enough to be the first one there. Towing it home was the first step; two years of weekends later, I was left with a huge smile on my face.
