AMC AMX vs AMC Spirit
Bracket race between an AMC Spirit 401 V8 automatic transmission and a red
68 AMX 343 4 speed manual transmission. The AMX was driven by Sam Eppley
for his father Lyman Eppley who is the owner. This car is fully lubricated
by AMSOIL and won this race.
4x4ing with 2 AMC Eagles in Off-road Park
We went out 4x4ing out on a trail, and Pat decided he was going to cross a
deep mudhole. He got stuck for a bit when the car got high-centered in the
hole. Then we got him out. then we had to pull apart the starter (that
was full of mud and water) and we got it fixed, and got going again.
1978 AMX Sport Compact Car
The AMC Concord is a compact and economical car by 1970s US standards,
produced by the American Motors Corporation for the 1978 through 1983 model
years. The Concord replaced the AMC Hornet and to some extent the mid-size
AMC Matador, discontinued after 1978 in a market moving to downsized
automobiles. Offered in four-door sedan, two-door coupé (through 1982),
three-door hatchback (through 1979) and four-door station wagon forms, AMC
sought to give its, by this time venerable, compact car an image of luxury,
class, and value. The Concord was AMC's volume seller from the time it
The car was available as a sports-oriented two-door hatchback AMX model
without any "Concord" badges or identification for the 1978 model year, as
well as the Concord Sundancer convertible during 1981 and 1982, an
authorized conversion sold through AMC dealers.
AMC 1980 AMX Spirit restoration
This is my 1980 AMC Spirit AMX. I finished restoring this car in July of
2002. This car has new paint,interior,transmission,3:73 rear and a built up
360 AMC engine producing close to 400 hp. I sold this car to finish my 86
Corvette. I miss it very much. This car had the Exhaust turned down towards the ground. It
sounded real bassy like rolling thunder. This car was super fast. I took it
to the 100th Rambler anniversary in Kenosha, WI in July 2002. With Group 19
AMC club. We also took it to Long Island, New York one summer, and I
cruised my old neighborhood. Its sad to say that I sold it to a young man
and the car is getting abused. I saw some chips and scratches on it. AMC
made awesome engines.

this is the POS Wanna Bee. We think we are getting a handle on it and
gettignt he bugs slowly worked out of it. The darn thing keeps getting faster!-)
Mark Donohue Javelin SST 1970 Stored in Trailer for over 20 years rescued unloaded forklifted
This is a video capturing the unloading of a 1970 Mark Donohue Javelin SST
that was stored in a trailer for over 20 years. I was a little scared
filming this as I did not want to be posting a video of the destruction of
a 1970 Mark Donohue Javelin SST, personally I would have cut the roof off
the trailer and taken the car out with a helicopter, not to worry though as
there were 2 guys inside the trailer ready to catch the car if it fell or
tipped over ...but alas, as risky as it was, a success!!!! 2 other cars
were stored in the trailer as well, a super low mile Gremlin and I think it
was a 1979 AMX, but this was the treasure we were digging for!!!!!! On the
spoiler you will notice "401", this was originally a 390 and if I remember
right it is a Big Bad Orange, Orange or Green, it was not a bad re-paint
but the inside of the door jam reveals the original color, a nice find!!!
The car is in fantastic condition! This was not accomplished on the first
attempt, a few mis-fires happened but it all was okay in the end!

1969 AMERICAN MOTORS SC/RAMBLER Only 124 are known to exist
The Hurst SC/Rambler was created in the spring of 1969.
This was a collaboration of American Motors and Hurst Performance.
There were 1,512 Hurst SC/Ramblers produced with an original selling
price of $2,998. One of 1,512 ever built and one 1,188 in the "A"
paint scheme. Only 124 are known to exist based on the
Hurst SC/Rambler registry. This is a 390, 4-speed and twin grip.
Full restoration. The car has its original engine and many NOS
parts were used in the restoration process. Options included with
the car: AMC 390/315hp, unique red/white/blue exterior pain and
headrests, functional Ram Air with hood scoop, 4-speed transmission
with Hurst shifter, HD suspension with sway bar, torque links, and
staggered shocks, HD cooling, power disc brakes and sun tachometer.
